You thank them before getting out of the jeep and walking over to where the line of trees start.
"Are you sure you really want to do this?" Harry asks and you nod. "Okay everyone, stay together and do not disappear off the path, or we won't make it up to safety." Harry tells everyone before slowly stepping onto the path.
You walk on and soon the forest gets darker due to the thick amount leaves above you, blocking the sun from reaching you. You were sure that things were watching you, you had that weird feeling. It was too silent for your liking, not even the scurry of wildlife or insects sounded. Only the leaves on the trees rustling around.
After a few hours of following the path through the dense forest, someone leaves the path but you don't notice. Your vision is blurry and everything seems to be moving in slow motion, it feels like you're body is drunk but your mind is sober. You have to sit and watch as you away from side to side, struggling to put one foot in front of the other.
You hallucinate that you can see a beautiful flower, so you start to walk towards it. As you go to step off the path, Harry yanks you back.
"W-what ar-re you d-doi-ng?" He asked but his words were slurring and all mixing into a jumble of noises in your head, echoing around constantly.
At least half of the group had stepped off the path and are wondering around, you stare around in confusion as you hear a voice repeat some words around your head. Don't leave the path, whatever happens. You leave that path and you're all dead. Your eyes widened and you stood still, looking down.
Thankfully you were still on the path along with Harry, Michael and a few others. They're as good as dead. You say in your mind, glancing at all of the people who were wondering around. One suddenly disappeared into the long grass with a cry, the sound of crunching following them.
Voices are calling out everyone's name and it's trying to distract you, but you ignore it and begin to run. Harry and Michael aren't far behind you as the others struggle to stay on the path. Finally you get to the end of it after walking through the torture all day. At the end is a large wooden gate with 2 security guards at it.
"Stop there, drop your bags and weapons." One says in a stern voice.
