I had a wonderful dream. I dreamed about me, Dwayne, Mommy, Tito Vaughn, Tita Lily and Tito Riel. We went to beach and played in the sand. We had so much fun out there. Tito Vaughn lifted me up and he carried me on his shoulders then we laugh, and laugh and laugh some more.
I felt someone gently stroking my hair. Then I felt a kiss on my cheek too. I slowly opened my eyes to see who woke me up. The first thing I saw was Dwayne’s shirt. I looked up to him and saw his cute, angelic face peacefully sleeping. I smiled at that scene and can’t help but kissed his cheek. I heard someone gasped followed by someone else’s chuckles. I turned to my left and saw Tito Vaughn smiling at me. I immediately bolted upright and ran into him.
“Daddy!”, I yelled at the top of my lungs and opened my arms, wanting him to lift me up. He didn’t fail me and in a snap, I was in his arms. I hugged him and kissed his cheek. “Daddy, I’m so sorry if I left Tita Cindy’s care. I never meant to make you worry... Uhmm... Can you not tell mommy that I went missing? I’m sure she’s gonna be mad if you will tell her. Please... please...”, I plead to him using my puppy dog eyes.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, baby. Your mom already knows...”, he said.
“What?! You ratted me out? Daddy naman eh! Papagalitan niya ako eh!”, I said then pouted my lips.
“There is no need to rat you out baby, I’m here.”, I heard my mommy said. Agad ko siyang nilingon at nagulat ako dahil nandoon lang pala siya sa may coach. She’s the one who kissed me and caressed my hair earlier. I just stared at her, too shocked and terrified for her impending reaction. “Hi baby! What? No kiss and hug for me? Hindi mo na ba ako mahal? Mas mahal mo na si Vaughn kaysa sa akin?”, she asked me with hurt in her voice.
“Mommy...”, I mumbled then Tito Vaughn let me down on my feet. I ran to my mommy’s side and hugged then kissed her. “How did you know I went missing?”, I hesitantly asked her.
“Well, right now it’s not important any more. I’m just happy that we’ve found you. But you do know you’ll face the ramifications of your actions, don’t you?”, she reminded me and I slightly shivered with the kind of voice she used. Alam kong mahal niya ako pero alam kong mapaparusahan din ako sa ginawa ko. I just don’t know what she’ll do to me. I just hope she won’t take away my art materials. I can’t live a day wothout them.
“Yes mommy. I’m so sorry...”, I said with tears in my eyes knowing what I had put my mom through. I know that she had been worried sick because of me.
“It’s okay baby. Ang mahalaga you learned something out of this, right? Don’t ever go wandering without adult supervision especially in place you barely know. Got it?”, she reminded me.
“Yes mommy!”, agad kong sagot.
“VAN...?”, I heard Dwayne called for me. I wriggled out of my mommy’s embrace and went to his side.
“Dwayne! They found us! My parents are here and your dad too!”
