This is sort of the second half to the last chapter since it sorta stopped in the middle. Sorry about that.

"See you tomorrow, Dan." Lacey calls behind her shoulder as the nurses start getting ready to give him his evening medication.
"He is very talkative." I say sighing. It was true, he talked about every fucking thing on the planet, including talking about how long jelly fish lived or when The Wizard of Oz was made. It kind of annoyed me since I had almost no talking time with Lacey the past couple days, especially since when we had lunch together.
"Yeah. He's nice." She says grinning and bumping her hip with mine.
"Too nice." I mumble under my breath.
"What?" She asks obviously not knowing what I said.
"Nothing," I say cheerily, "let's get back to your room. I feel like I've grown ten years older since we've seen those ugly colored walls of yours."
She laughs and we continue walking forward.
"Want to do something tomorrow? Dan has a bunch of appointments scheduled anyways." She says as we approach her room.
"Yeah. We could go out in the garden. It's been a while." I say opening the door and letting her enter first.
"You mean since you had to climb a pipe." She snorts and we both get into the hospital bed.
I roll my eyes. "Yes, Lace,"
She smiles at me and I can't help but smile back.

"Do you want peanut butter or ham?" I ask Lacey, whose behind me in line. We decided we'd get dinner and go out into the garden and have a picnic.
"Peanut butter all the way, dude." She says grinning at me.
"I have to disagree. Ham all the way, dude." I mock her and she gives me a dry look.
"I'm joking," I say chuckling, carrying out food toward the exit and Lacey carries the big blanket we stole from a random room earlier.
"Oh wait!" I say, stopping abruptly.
"You go ahead and find us a spot outside. I forgot something." I say quickly, shoving the bag of food in her hands and running down the hall.
"What the fuck?" I hear her call after me grumpily.
I feel my lips curl upward as I keep jogging toward the kitchen. I look around quickly before entering the double doors.
"Hey Zayn!" I hear a voice say from my right.
"Hello, Chassie." I say shooting her my signature smile. "I was wondering if you had a big pitcher and hot chocolate mix?"
"Of course." She giggles and leads me toward the stoves and soon enough she has a big pot of milk heating up.
"Thanks for this," I say as she stirs the pot.
"No problem. I'm guessing you're making this for Lacey."
"Yeah. I am." I say running my hand through my hair.
"I know you like her, but if you ever change your mind, I'll be here." She turns to face me and I nervously look down.
Normally I wouldn't do this. I could hook up with her right now and no one would ever know- but I feel like I would be two timing Lacey if I did that for some reason.
