Well, That's That, Then: AUTHOR'S NOTE

Well. What a ride this has been.

On November 25th, 2015, I wrote my first story for this collection: it was called A Twinkle on the Heart and it caused quite a stir... especially with my mother, who exclaimed something along on the lines of, "Wait, you wrote this?!"

"Yes, mum."

"...YOU wrote this?" Apparently the whole sexual aspect was a bit of a shock.

Anyway, during this I feel like my writing has gotten better. I started writing stories which I felt I didn't want to continue because I didn't run away with myself: they were more self-contained stories, and less "oh okay so this is a slightly more developed idea..." I also write a poem I am proud of (Always & Unconditionally, Day Sixteen) and I had a lot of fun, with a lot of characters who I really liked, and some who I may revisit again some day.

You might find it weird for me to be doing this type of chapter, but this is a huge thing for me: I actually completed something! Admittedly, it is 73 days later than I anticipated, but still, I actually did a thing like can you believe that

There won't be any more stories on here, unless I decide to do a new short story collection, and then I'll probably put a quick update on here for anyone who likes that kind of stuff, but as always you can follow my profile and get updates from there.

So, as the title said: that's that, then. But I would like to quickly thank 3 people...

1) @makexbelieve - you found me on Twitter and gave me the boost to get back into writing these when I hadn't for about a month! Thank you!

2) @maddygurl567 - you left some really lovely comments that made me smile so much, and a couple of times I really needed them to get the next story done!

3) @bookishbyte - thank you so much for your comments (on both this story and Your Lover, Tom). Thanks to all of you guys, everything you say really means a lot. As I said, this is a huge achievement for me, and I don't know if I would've gotten it done without you.

And that's all of the cheesyness over with. I used these stories to combat my literally frozen (well, literally very blinkin' cold) fingers over the winter, and on the last day of winter I think it's appropriately finished! This whole experience has given me a lot more confidence in myself and my writing, and I want to thank you guys for reading To Warm Frozen Fingers! Until the next time...
