*Obi-Wan's POV*

There was nothing to do on the royal space ship. I meditated for a while, trying to strenghthen my connection to the Force, but I couldn't concentrate. I could only think of Aure. It had been nearly two hours since she had left. And I was bored. The Queen wasn't a great person to have a conversation with, she just went on and on about politics and her servants didn't talk much either.

Master Qui-Gon wasn't back yet, but he had contacted me to tell me he didn't have enough money to buy the parts we needed for the ship, which only made things even more difficult.

I decided to check on Aure, just to make sure she was alright and maybe, if she was up to it, talk with her. I walked to the room she shared with the Queen's maids and knocked on the door. Nobody answered. I knocked again. Nothing.

A sensible person would have guessed she was sleeping or maybe she didn't want anybody's company at the moment. I had always thought that I was a sensible person, but it seemed like I was wrong because I slowly opened the door and entered the room. And, of course, she was asleep on the couch. Her lips held a peaceful smile, her long black hair had left her braid to spread on top of the cushion, one of her hands stayed underneath her head.

I should leave and let her sleep, my brain said, but I didn't pay attention to it and I stayed. Why? I don't know. Maybe it was because she looked so peaceful, or maybe because I wanted to talk and she was the only person in the ship who I liked talking to, or maybe there was no reason at all.

I was standing there, right in front of the the bunk bed, looking at her, when she moved slightly and opened her eyes slowly.

Crap. I just keep embarrassing myself today!

*Aure's POV*

After spending some time with the decoy Queen and her maids, they stayed in the Royal room and I decided to have some rest in our shared room. I just wanted to lay down for a while and take my mind off everything that was happening, bu it seemed impossible. I thought about Naboo, what was happening while we were away? I thought about Padmé, who was in that lawless planet without my protection. Of course, she was with a Jedi who would protect her if she needed help, but I was worried about her anyway. And lastly, I thought about Obi-Wan; about his smile, about the way he had blushed in embarrassment, about his blue eyes... And with the thought of his sweet eyes, I fell asleep without even realizing.

When I woke up, the person with those blue eyes was the first thing I saw. He was looking down at me and I looked back at him. After two or three seconds that felt like ages, he looked away and said "Sorry if I woke you up, I was looking for you and-"

"Don't worry about it," I interrupted. "Why were you looking for me?"

"I wanted to talk with someone who can have a conversation that is not about politics," he answered, still not looking at me.

I chuckled. "Let's talk, then. I've had enough rest for today." I sat down on the bunk bed and signaled him to sit on the empty space next to me, and so he did. "I didn't even realize I was falling asleep. Any news about from your Master?" I asked.

"He called me. It will take longer for him to get the parts we need, they don't have money to pay for them," he said seriously. This made me worry about Padmé; the longer she stayed there, the longer she'd be in danger. I tried not to show my concern, but he seemed to notice. "You are friends with that maid, aren't you?"

"I've known her for some time, we've become close," I answered without letting him know the whole truth.

I looked at him and noticed the thin braid that hanged from his copper brown hair. "Why do you have this?" I talked out of curiosity as I gently pulled on it.

"Every padawan has it. When our learning finishes, it's cut off," he replied smiling.

"It's cute," I commented. Obi-Wan looked down and blushed, which made me smirk. "You blush a lot, you know?" I commented, pushing his shoulder lightly.

"I'm not used to that kind of comments. That's it," he said softly.

I rised my eyebrows. "If it makes you feel uncomfortable, I'll stop," I quickly replied. I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable around me; not now that we were getting closer.

"No, no!" he answered, looking at me, meeting my gaze. "It's fine, I... Like it? I guess." He looked so confused. Now I was blushing too; we must have looked ridiculous. I should have known that he wouldn't be used to compliments.

After a second staring at each other's eyes, I finally said something "I should check on the Queen again. She may need me." I stood up and walked towards the door. "See you later, Obi-Wan," I added.

"See you later, Aure," he said, smiling. The way his lips softly pronounced my name made me smile too.
