*Aure's POV*

The next morning, I woke up on my comfortable bed for the first time in many days. The sunlight coming through the window and the sound of birds singing woke me up peacefully. I opened my eyes when I heard someone yawn at my left, I turned my head and there was Obi-Wan, who was getting up slowly. I remembered that he had fallen asleep while we were talking and I didn't want to wake him: He'd had a horrible day and looked so calmed there, laying on my bed. Soon, I also fell asleep next to him.

"Good morning." My voice was a little hoarse, as I had just awakened.

He looked around, disoriented for some seconds, and finally gave me a small smile. "I'm sorry. You should have told me to leave."

I blushed. "Don't worry, it was not a problem to me. I hope you had a nice rest."

"I did, thanks," he said, embarrassed, before deciding to leave my bedroom.

With a sigh, I got up, cleaned up and dressed for the day. That day was a special one, we'd celebrate the end of Naboo's blockade by the Federation, we'd celebrate that we had peace again. But I could not help feeling sadness every time I remembered that Obi-Wan would leave to Coruscant while I had to stay on Naboo. It was funny how fast I had fallen in love with him; after many long conversations and lots of laughs, Obi-Wan became such an important part of my life in such a troubling time.

Many times during the night, I had thought about leaving with Obi-Wan and Anakin, but I knew I could not. I had a job, friends and responsabilities. Plus, I could barely see my parents living in Naboo, I couldn't imagine how I would feel if I lived in another planet, far away from them.

I pushed away all my thoughts about leaving and got out of my bedroom, looked for Padmé and headed out of the Palace with her.

The great parade was held at Naboo's central plaza. I stood at the top of some stairs with Padmé to my left in some of her finest clothes, and Obi-Wan at my right side. Anakin, who now had the typical padawan short hairstyle, stood by his side. It was weird seeing Anakin with the thin braid hanging from his hair and Obi-Wan without it.

Padmé was wearing a beautiful, long, white and pink dress and had the typical Queen's make up on. And I, for once, wasn't wearing my fighting clothes. This was a special event and so I was wearing a nice dark blue dress that Padmé once gave to me. I wasn't used to wearing dresses, but this one suited me quite well.

After about two hours of celebration and talking with everybody who approached me, I started to look for Obi-Wan to tell him everything I wanted him to know before he left. As I could not find him anywhere, I asked Padmé if she had seen him.

"He left with Anakin to the hangar about ten minutes ago. I thought they had said goodbye to you."

I didn't bother replying her, I just ran towards the hangar, hoping he hadn't left yet. Running in that dress was difficult and the tears forming in my eyes, blurring my vision, didn't make it easier, but somehow I managed to arrive at the hangar just in time.

Obi-Wan was still there.

He was going to enter the spaceship that would take him back to Coruscant when I shouted "Obi!" He turned around and, when he recognized me, jogged towards me. "Did you intend to take off without saying goodbye?" A tear escaped my eye and rolled down my cheek.
