*Obi-Wan's POV*

In a matter of hours the royal spaceship landed next to Naboo's Gungan swamp. We all got out, Aure and I stayed close to each other; we had been talking during all the voyage, except when the Queen ordered her talk in private about the plan. I wished that the Queen had revealed the plan to all of us in that moment, but of course, she wanted to discuss it first with her most loyal and trustworthy soldier.

During one of our many conversations, Aure told me she was sure that Qui-Gon believed I was ready for the Trials, that he didn't say so just to train Anakin. She convinced me, how wouldn't she? I couldn't disagree with her, specially not after our hug. Force, that felt good! But I was afraid that these feelings would grow even more. That couldn't happen, it was painful enough already.

Aure and I approached Master Qui-Gon.

"Jar Jar is on his way to the Gungan city," Aure told my Master, whose thoughts were elsewhere.

"Good," he answered simply.

"Do you think the Queen's idea will work?" I asked Aure, who just smirked knowingly; she was the only person who was aware of the plan and was obviously pleased by this.

The only thing the rest of us knew was that we needed to convince the Gungans to help us.

"The Gungans will not easily be swayed, and we cannot use our power to help her." After Qui-Gon's words, I saw Aure pointing at him with her eyes and then looking at me, a smirk on her face, and she left us to talk with Padmé; I understood what she wanted me to do.

"I'm... I'm sorry for my behaviour, Master," I apologized to Qui-Gon. "It is not my place to disagree with you about the boy. I am grateful you think I am ready for the trials." I looked down.

Qui-Gon looked at me for a long moment before saying "You have been a good apprentice. You are much wiser than I am, Obi-Wan. I foresee you will become a great Jedi Knight." His words made me smile widely as my heart beat rapidly with pride. He, one of the best Jedi I knew, was telling me I would be a great Knight one day! "Now, go talk with your... friend, it does you good." Then, he left me thinking. Did he know about my feelings for Aure?

I approached Aure and her friend, Padmé. When she saw me, I smiled proudly and I believe she suspected something good had happened during my conversation with my Master. We didn't need words, we understood each other perfectly by our facial expressions or the sound of our voice. Did the Force have something to do with that?

Jar Jar had left in order to find his people but, when he came back, he was alone, which worried me. He approached us and said that the Gungan were all gone. Great! The plan was starting to fail already...

"Do you think they have been taken to camps?" Aure suggested.

"More likely they were wiped out," I replied to her, losing all hope.

"Well, that wouldn't surprise me at all." She shrugged.

Then, Jar Jar informed us that Gungans used to go to a sacred place when in trouble, somewhere where nobody could find them.

"Can you take us there?" Master Qui-Gon asked him.

The Gungan nodded and led our group, which consisted on Queen Amidala, her three maidens, four pilots, eight guards, R2D2, Anakin, Qui-Gon, Aure and me. We walked through secret passages and tall trees, with big leaves that completely covered the sky above us, until we found the large tribe of Gungans in their secret place. One thing was sure: It would have been impossible for us to find them there if it weren't for Jar Jar.
