JUNE'S P.O.V.:

I had never been a big fan of tube stations, they were dark, filthy and just plain ugly.

Looking around I finally noticed the ticket machines.

My feet started to move towards them, but I quickly looked over my shoulder and was relieved to see that Tristan was following me.

I selected a day travel card for Zone 1 and paid for it.

"Okay Tristan, I'm done." I said, taking my ticket from the machine.

"Just Tris."

"What?" I asked.

"You can just call me Tris."

Why he had just told me that, I didn't know.

"Okay." I answered.

We walked up to the map of the tube system to try and figure out where we wanted to go.

One of us should have planned something out.

We stood in front of the map for over a minute without speaking, analysing our options.

"I have a splendid idea." Tris announced.

Did he really just say splendid?

"Shoot." I told him.

"Okay, have you ever cruised the Thames?"

To which I replied: "Of course."

Tristan looked slightly disappointed, but then he immediately perked up, "Well, you've never with me, so we're going."

Finally! Someone taking the lead and not the two of us not knowing what to do and just awkwardly trying to come up with something without seeming too pushy.

"Well, come on!" I shouted from the gates leading down to the tube.

Tristan jogged over to me and we got on a tube down to Embankment.

The station we had to get out of was a few blocks away from the cruise services, so we walked next to the River Thames.

We bought our tickets and a rather large man with sour expression on his face said: "The boat won't start boarding for a good twenty minutes, so I suggest you kids go to Starbucks or something."

The guy said it in a way that sounded like he was accusing us of being stereotype.

Tristan was about to walk into Starbucks, but then I intervened, "No, we're going to Costa. I don't care if the guy can't see us, I have to prove my point."

Tris just shrugged and walked into Costa after me.

There were hardly any people in the coffee shop, the only ones there were sitting down, so we could order immediately.

"What are you getting?" I asked, moving to stand next to Tris who was staring at the coffee menu.

"Honestly? I have no idea, what about you?" he answered.

"A caramel latte, it's not for everyone, some think it's too sweet, but for me it's like heaven in a drink."

Tristan chuckled at my comparison.

"What can  get you?" the barista asked, "A caramel latte." I answered.

"And what's your name?" he asked me, "June." I said.

"And what about you?" he asked, turning his attention to Tristan while shoving my cup to his colleague.

"The same." he answered.
