June's Dream

JUNE'S P.O.V.:

We were back at the pier. Just me and Tristan.

I was holding my new bear, Fred under one arm and my other was hooked around Tristan's.

Okay..

Not that I have a problem with that.

Tris was pulling me around, making me go on all the rides with him and for some reason I didn't even try to object to the roller coaster .

"I need the bathroom." I told him as we got off the bumber cars, which we shared instead of competing against one another.

As I walked out of the bathroom when I was done I couldn't find Tristan.

I started to worry a bit and whipped my head in all possible directions before my eyes finally found him. And he wasn't alone anymore.

There was a girl with long blond hair standing next to him, giggling at something he said.

I took a breath and walked up to them, "I'm ready."

The girl gave me and Fred one disapproving look before going back to flirting my boyfriend.

On top of that it looked like Tristan was genuinely enjoying her flirting.

She leaned in and planted her lips on Tristan's.

This bitch was kissing Tris in front of me.

What the actual fudge?

He then kissed her back and I lost it.

I screamed.

 This couldn't be happening.

Suddenly everything changed; I was no longer surrounded by fairground attractions or people.

The room was dark and I was stood in the middle of a square piece of wood. The girl was seated on a throne that was situated on top of a very tall pillar that towered above me.

She leaned forward and said: "I will pull this leaver, but not just yet. I will only pull it when Tristan over here tells me to do so."

If that was indeed the case I still had time; I could convince Tris to make her let me go.

Why was she so important anyway?

I thought he was with me?

Tristan moved over to the throne just as I was called out, but no sound came out of my mouth. It was just like I had no say in what was about to happen.

He was now standing next to her and I was still screaming out, my throat was sore which was weird as it hadn't actually produced any sound.

Tris rubbed the blonde's arm and leaned over to whisper something in her ear.

Maybe she would let me go now, maybe for some reason Tristan still cared for me.

The girl was smiling, a devilish grin.

No.

She reached out for the leaver.

"I love you." I was just able to mouth at Tristan as she pulled it down and the square piece of wood I was standing on began to tremble.

I tried to run, but I couldn't.

I tried to move, but I wasn't able to even close my eyes as the latch opened and I fell into a black abyss.

JUNE'S P.O.V.:

I jerked awake.

The darkness surrounded me, but I wasn't falling.

"Bad dream?" someone mumbled next to me.

Tristan.

It was a dream. He didn't want to get rid of me, but he wasn't mine either.

"Come here," Tris pulled me closer to him and I turned around and curled up against his chest.

"You okay?"

I nodded, I didn't know what to say and even if I did I wasn't sure I was able to speak.

Tristan didn't seem to mind though, he just tightened his grip on me. It was like he was protecting me from whatever had scared me.

Though he didn't know that he was protecting me from himself in a way.

Author's Note:

Anyone notice that I casually let June dream of Tris as her boyfriend? Heh heh heh.

Yes, this chapter was super short, I'll try to make the next one longer. Also, I want to make this a thing I do in every book; a dream with an epiphany.

Did you like it though? Please let me know by voting or commenting because that would make my day :))

XOXO Nina
