Emma tossed and turned all night, but couldn't sleep. She just couldn't find a comfortable position. She sat up and went to the window. It was still late in the night. She decided to go to her garden and look at the stars. She put on an evening dress and slipped outside.

Killian decided that having a drink would ease his mind. He went to his den and grabbed a bottle of rum, not worrying about a glass. He sat down on the chaise and looked into the fire. He glanced above the fireplace and saw a stained glass window. A perfect replica of the woman he saw in his dream. The image of her was burned into his mind. He took a swig of the rum and stared at the window. He had to find her. He wouldn't stop searching until he knew who she was and where she came from. Even if it was a mortal, he was determined to make this mysterious woman love him.

Emma laid down on the ground and looked at the sky. For the first time in two weeks she got to see the sky without anything blocking her view. There wasn't a cloud in sight. Her parents told her about the ball that they were going to hold in her honor because of her return, but she didn't want that. A twig snapped in the forest behind her and she sat straight up and looked into the darkness. A wolf walked out from in between the trees and her heart rate slowed.

"You can come out, Ruby. It's just me," she whispered.

A few moments later, a woman dressed in red walked out behind the wolf. She reached her hand up and pet the head of the animal. It raised it's head up into her touch before running back into the forest. Ruby (Artemis) went up to Emma and hugged her. "You had me scared to death! Everyone was so worried about you! And it was all because of some guy! Emma, what were you thinking?" She asked.

"Who is this guy everyone keeps talking about? I just needed space, not someone to give up my freedom for."

"Killian. You ran away with him. How could you forget a gorgeous guy like that?"

"Killian? I never spent anytime with any men. Being alone meant alone. Not alone with someone else."

"You mean you really don't remember him?"

"No! I don't! What's going on? Why are you and my parents asking me about him?"

Ruby shook her head, "no reason."

"Oh no. You are going to tell me."

"Well, Killian came to the castle one day looking to meet someone. Someone he could marry."

"And that would be me?"

"Well, yes but not yet. He went to your father for help and he said that there would be plenty of women to meet and possibly marry at your birthday ball later that night. After your father left him, he caught sight of a girl in the garden. That would be you. He watched you for many years, just waiting to get his hands on you so you both could marry. When he asked Mary Margaret for permission for your hand, she said no. He didn't take that for an answer so later that day he kidnapped you and took you to the Underworld. He later returned you here and left. Because you fell in love with him, you ran away to be with him. And now you're back. Why are you back? Why can't you remember him?"

"I don't know, Ruby. I don't even know why I would fall in love with a man like him! He seems so surrounded by darkness."

"Maybe if you find him, he will return your memories and you will get all the answers you need."
