Okay, I noticed that I accidentally published a part of chapter 22 for this book.
I have chapters written in advance, and instead of saving what I had written for chapter 22, this stupid fucking app decided to publish the part.
I am soooooo sorry!
Thanks to HookdOnCaptainSwan and once_upon_a_swan for letting me know about it.
And that is why I am posting chapter 17 now.
Emma walked up to the her father's throne room and both of her parents were sitting at the table. "Emma, what brings you by?" David asked.
"I wanted to tell you that I am leaving Olympus. I am going to continue my work on Earth. I will still visit, but I just need a little bit of space," Emma said reluctantly.
Mary Margaret stood up and cupped her daughter's face. "Whatever it takes to make you happy. Will you still visit?"
"Absolutely. I just need to get my mind off of Killian and I think that some distractions will be good."
"Emma, if you need anything, please come and see us. No matter what you do, we will always be here for you," David told her with a smile.
She nodded, "thank you, Father." She turned around and went back to her room to finish her preparations.
David shut the doors and faced his wife. "I don't like the idea of her leaving us."
"Are you actually complaining? Killian will be trying to find her here. This is for the best."
He shook his head. "I sent him away last night. He isn't going to see her ever again."
"You honestly think that he is going to listen to you? He never has before, so why would he start now?"
"I think Emma happened. He is worried about her."
"Does he actually think that you would threaten her?"
"I'm not sure, but I'm not going to question his reasons. If Emma living on Earth is going to keep him away from her, then we will leave it be."
Emma had clothes that were made for peasants that lived on Earth so she could blend in with the crowd. She had enough money until she could actually make a living. She had gotten a house ahead of time so she didn't have to scramble around to find a place to live. She knew that Ruby was out there with her "pack," roaming the woods and protecting people, so she was going to be safe. She gathered all of her things and went to her new home. The hours ticked by as she unpacked and settled in. She collapsed on her new bed and stared up at the wooden ceiling of her little village house.

Killian paced the halls in his castle. He had secretly visited Olympus to check up on Emma, but found out that she wasn't there. He didn't know where to look. He couldn't ask David because he didn't and wasn't ever going to know that Killian was still watching her. He pounded his fist against the wall, leaving a dent in it. He left the castle and walked all the way to the edge of the River Styx. He saw Cerberus stand up tentatively awaiting his Master's next command. He walked over to the three headed dog and pet the head in the middle. He then waved his hand over the dog and a minute later, it turned into a small puppy. Killian held out one of Emma's old dresses that he managed to find and the dog sniffed it.
"Find her," he whispered as he waved his hand and the dog disappeared to find the owner of the smell.
Killian walked back into the castle and went into the throne room. He sat down on Emma's throne instead of his own. He traced one of the jewels with his finger as tears came to his eyes. All he wanted was his Queen. Was that too much to ask? What if the ruler of hell wanted to change for a woman? Would the universe accept that? Of course not. They said that love would always find a way, but what if their love didn't?

For the next six months, Emma lived happily on her new farm. She sold flowers at flea markets and sold eggs from her chickens, wool from the sheep, and milk from the cows. She lived just as any other mortal man or woman would. She knew all of her neighbors and were friendly with them, and them with her. One morning she went out to milk a cow when a she saw something running up to her. When it got closer, she saw that it was a puppy. She dropped the bucket and knelt down in front of the dog. It was so cute! She reached down to touch the dog when there was a flash in front of her eyes. It grew into the three headed dog that she knew about. She cowered in fear as the animal went wild. It ran in circles around the farm and she knew that this was the work of Killian. Emma ran inside her house and grabbed a pouch of coins. It was all the money that she had. That's all she would need if she was going to run again, and this time, she needed to changer her scent. That way, Cerberus wouldn't be able to find her again. She shut her eyes and transported herself to an empty field. She began walking in the heat of the summer sun to find the next village. One that would be in need of her services.
After months of waiting, Killian finally felt the connection that he had on Cerberus break. He knew that the dog's disguise was lifted and that he found Emma. He teleported to the place where the dog was running around in circles around a small house. He whistled and the beast stopped and sat down. Killian went inside the house and searched everywhere, but couldn't seem to find Emma. He slammed his hand down on the wooden table in frustration. After a few moments of regaining his composure, he was finally calm enough so he could look around her home. It was a small little cottage that was very cozy. Not something that she was used to living in. It wasn't even big enough to fit her bedroom in David's castle on Olympus. He climbed the ladder and was immediately met with her bedroom. A small bed was in front of the window. An open bottle of rum sitting on the floor. A chest at the bottom of the bed with blankets and patches of cloth were scattered in it and around the room. She was obviously looking for something before she left.
He knew it was going to be harder to find her this time. She knew he was on to her now. She knew that he was looking for her, and he knew that she wasn't going to be found this time.
Emma continued to run. If she got far enough, then maybe she could start over, but she needed a new disguise. The next day, she had gotten a new house but it was as empty as could be. She had enough money to buy a few animals so she could make a profit off of them and what they gave her. She heard about the flea market later in the week, so she decided to make flowers so she could sell them. She was sitting on the ground, messing with the soil and dirt when someone cleared their throat behind her. She turned around and her mother was standing there. A basket of different fruits, vegetables, and spices was in her hands.
"Why didn't you tell us you moved, Emma?" Mary Margaret asked.
Emma stood up and wiped the dirt off her dress. She couldn't tell her mother that Killian had found her and was looking for her. She shrugged her shoulders in response. "I just needed a change of scenery."
"Well, I just wanted to bring you this." She held out the basket and Emma took it. "Are you doing okay here?"
"I'm doing just fine, Mother."
"You know, that if you need anything at all, just come and find us."
Emma nodded, "I will." She gave her mother a hug and went inside to place the basket down. When she went back outside, Mary Margaret was gone. She sat back down in the dirt and a rumble of thunder was heard in the distance. She smiled and looked up at the sky. "Perfect timing, Dad."
Killian went to his private tower and grabbed a crystal ball. He placed his hands on it and tried to make Emma's image appear, but it wasn't working. There was a heavy protection spell around her, so he couldn't track her. He then decided that he wasn't going to use magic, but he was going to find her by searching on foot.
