**(Written as a song. Sung with a british accent)

Portals.

I've been told that books are  completely boring

That next to nobody cares about some stupid stories

But if that's true, apparently my life must be gray

Considering poetry and songwriting make up most of my day

And today... I'll change their mind

I'll take them on an adventure through the different lands of time

Teach them loads of poetry, with or without rhyme

Let them explore the deepest valleys in the sea

And let them know that books can really be

Portals to other worrrrrrlds.

I put a book into their hands and then told them to read it

They told me to just screw off, to go ahead and beat it

But later, then, what did I see? A lonely cool-kid wanna be

With that book

in his hands

Eventually he realized the worlds that stories hold

The space lands and fairy kingdoms, the history of times old

He told me that he was sorry for the jerky way he's acting

Told me that he just wanted to see how others were reacting

Truth was that he loved to read but since that wasn't "cool"

And today... he changed his mind

He'll take them on an adventure through the different lands of time

Teach them loads of poetry, with or without rhyme

Let them explore the deepest valleys in the sea

And let them know that books can really be

Portals to other worrrrrrlds.
