Not Alone For Long

Chapter 5

Harry's POV

I couldn't believe what I had seen on cats face. I mean I know people are clumsy but there's no way someone could do that just by tripping. I had to find out what happened.

On the bright side I finally knew her name and so far I've had every class with her today.

I'm finding it so hard to believe that just this morning I didn't even know who cat was and now, not even five hours later, I had completely fallen for the girl. It was like love at first sight for me. If only I could get cat to see me the same way.

Right now, I was on my way to lunch. I saw my best friend, Josh. "Hey man, what's up?" I heard Josh say as he walked up to me. "Nothing much" I said blankly. I was too busy thinking about cat.

"You ok man? You seem a bit off." Josh said. "Huh? Oh. Yeah I'm good" I replied.

We went through the lunch line and got our food, then went and sat at our usual table. As soon as we sat down kiera Jonah was sitting right beside me, practically in my lap.

I hate to say a girl is a slut but this girl is a slut. I mean big time. Yes, I'll admit I've been with her a few times but I regret all of them now. Especially since all I can think about is cat.

"Hey handsome" I heard kiera whisper in my ear. I pushed her away from me and said "go away Kiera". She obviously didn't understand because she stayed there.

I saw cat walk by me and I called her name. She turned around looking confused. I motioned for her to come over to us. I heard Keira say "eww why are you talking to her? She's a stupid whore. She failed last year. She's so dumb."

I'm guessing cat heard her because she quickly turned around and started walking as quick as possible away from our table. I think I might know what happened to cat now...

I got up and ran after her, so I could talk to her. I finally caught up to her and called out her name. This time when she turned around, there were tears in her eyes.

"What? Are you gonna come make fun of me too? That wasnt humiliation enough?" She said. That completely broke my heart to hear her say that. I shook my head no.

Her face softened a bit and I took that as my chance to find out if my assumption was true. "Cat, what really happened to you?" I asked. "I already told you I fell." She replied. "I wasnt born yesterday cat. Did Keira do this to you?" I knew I was right by the look on her face.
