Enjoy!
“And that’s how I became a badboy” Kyle finished. We stared back at the class as they applauded us. I smiled at took a bow. “And that is our project”
Ms. Sinclair, out new teacher, smiled at us, “Good job both of you. And a very interesting topic, have a seat”
I grabbed Kyle’s hand and pulled him next to me, “You were amazing” I whispered. He blushed and kissed me on the cheek. “Get a room” Hannah sneered. I glared at her. You would think after everything we’d been through together we’d be closer. Nope. I hated her even more if that’s possible. Not only did she become a total bitch after the whole incident, she told everyone that my dad was a killer and my mom a cheating whore. Yeah, I hated her.
“Fuck off Hannah” I walked to my seat and smiled at Robin and Carson who were sending notes to each other. They were probably the cutest couple in all of the school. Plus Robin really helped him get through the whole ordeal of his dad going to prison. He and Stacey were both put away for different reasons, her for kidnapping him for rape. I almost felt sorry for the asshole, but then I remembered how sad Carson and his mom were, and then my sympathy was gone.
My mom was helping Jessica, Carson’s mom, through the whole ordeal and divorce. And Jessica helped my mom too. After my dad went to prison, my mom started making more friends and making things more permanent seeing as how I told her I wasn’t moving.
It was hard at first, but after an hour of threatening to run away, she finally gave in. And for once things were going good in my life.
The bell rang signaling second period. Carson pulled Kyle in a corner and whispered something to him causing him to shake his head vigorously. I walked up to them, “What are you two talking about?” I asked. Carson rolled his eyes, “I wanna skip to go smoke but Kyle thinks just because the project is over he can go back to being a goody two shoes.” Carson teased. Kyle sighed, “Fine, let’s go” he said grudgingly. I smiled and went to get Robin.
Kyle and I were officially together and I was finally happy, even though his dad had tried to bribe him to keep us apart claiming that my life was way too dangerous, we had overcome it.
“Robin! We get to skip.” Robin sighed; “Fine but I have a quiz sixth period” I laughed and dragged her out with me. We found the boys arguing animatedly by the car. Robin skipped to Carson and wrapped her arms around his waist. He immediately stopped talking to Kyle and kissed her. Kyle frowned and scrunched up his face in disgust.
“Hey handsome” I called out. Kyle looked up and smiled at me. My heart warmed. My life had finally gotten better. Kyle walked towards me. I was finally happy. He stopped right in front of me. I was going to be fine I thought as he pressed his smooth lips against mine. I was going to be fine.
