I walked around this cruddy airport for what felt like forever. Not being able to find anyone I recognized, I threw my bags down in a pile, sat in one of the chairs and used my bags as a foot-rest. I took my phone out of my front left pocket, and typed in my moms cell phone number. It rang about two times before I heard she answered. "Mom, can I come home yet?" I asked, looking around. I watched as the couple from befor, Mary and Michael, walk in front of me. They were talking about the bucket of chicken,

"If you hadn't brought that bucket of chicken, then you wouldn't have gotten stuck." Michael nearly yelled at Mary. Her face dropped a bit, I had to admit, that Michael guy seemed like a complete asshole.

"No Jess. You just got there. You have to stick it out for a while." My mom said, making me focus back on the conversation I was having.

"But mom, its stinky and theres a lot of...." I started, but stopped as I began looking around the airport. "Old people here." I whispered into the phone. I heard her laugh,

"Well you'll have to be around those old people for a couple months." She laughed, I could practically hear her rolling her eyes through the phone. "Just think of it as one of those adventures you always wanted to go on." She said. I groaned,

"I said I wanted to go, but I never thought you would actually believe me." I joked.

"Whatever Jess, go be nice."

"Im always nice." I heard her laugh, almost a forced laugh.

"Yeah, alright...well I gotta go."

"Wait!" I said, stopping her from hanging up. "Do you remember what Uncle Charlie....looks like?" I asked, hoping she would remind me what he looked like. Maybe if I had some kind of idea of what he looked like, I would be able to find him a lot easier.

"Really Jess? You dont know what your own uncle looks like?" She asked.

"Hey mom, I think you need to wipe your mouth. Its dripping with sarcasm." I laughed. I was already here in Washington, what could go wrong?

"Watch it missy. I can still tell your uncle you're grounded." I rolled my eyes. You know, being in Forks might actually be a good thing. She cant see me when I roll my eyes, or stick my tongue out at her anymore.

"Well its been about ten years since I seen him last, I dont really think my minds eye can bring up and image of him." I sighed, yet again leaning my head backwards.

"Alright, well he has a bit of stuble on his chin, black hair, dark brown eyes. He's slimmer than some people, and he's the chief of police there." I was looking around when my eyes fell on a dark brown jacket. And a man awkwardly positioned in the middle of the airport, looking around.

"Hey, do you know what color jacket he has on?" I asked, standing up.

"Yeah, it should be a darkish brown. He should have a sign with your name on it though." The man turned around, and I could clearly see my name printed on a piece of cardboard he held.

"I found him. He looks quite...awkward." I laughed to myself. I wondered how he got to be so weird since the last time I saw him.

"Have fun." My mom said, hanging up before I could say anything else. I threw my phone back in my pocket and waved to the man. I guessed he saw me because he began walking towards me.

"Jessica?" He asked, his eyes resting on mine.

"Jess." I corrected him. "And you must be my Uncle Charlie?" I asked, his jacket had a little gold star on his left side, and the words 'Forks Police Station' written on it. I watched him as he nodded, a smile beginning to spread across his face.

"Well Jess, what do you say we take your stuff to the car and go meet your cousin Bella at the local diner?" He asked. I looked around, if their airport is this small then thats probably the only local diner they have.

"Yeah." It would be amazing to see Bella again. He helped pick up my bags, and we started rolling them out of the airport and to his police car. It was a rainy day, just as I thought. "Why is it so rainy here?" I asked, as I jumped into the car.

"Because the sun doesn't like us." I heard Bella yell as she jumped up from the backseat nearly scaring the shit out of me. I threw my hand up to my chest, and tried to calm my beating heart.

"That wasn't funny Bella." I shouted, tackling her back into the back seat. She laughed as she fell backwards.

"Hey no fighting in the car. Even if it is playing." Charlie warned us, as he hopped into the car and turned it on. We started driving to Charlie.

"So, what has my cousin been up to?" Bella asked, laying on her back with her head on my lap.

"Getting into trouble obviously." I said, pointing out the window. Bella gave me the 'I seriously dont believe you' look. I rolled my eyes, "No seriously, my mom sent me here because I went to a party and got 'drunk' when I wasn't supposed to." I sighed, looking up at Charlie in the rear-view mirror. He looked dissapointed, but looked down.

"Wow, go Jess." Bella said, putting her hand up for me to high five it.

"No, not way to go. Its not a good thing to be getting drunk at a party without your parents permission." Charlie spoke up.

"I wasn't really drunk. I took like two sips, if that, and then ended up getting saved by one of my friends, and then I went home." I admitted.

"What do you mean saved?" Bella asked, looking at her nails, as she continued to lay on my lap.

"Nothing. I just meant, they took me out of the party and drove me home." I said, looking down at Bella. I whispered to her, "Ill tell you later." As soon as we parked in front of Charlies house, we all got out.

"I guess you're tired?" Charlie asked, looking over at me as he slid out of the driver side door. I didn't feel like speaking anymore, so I just nodded. "Alright, Bella will show you to your bedroom, and Ill bring your stuff inside. Then tomorrow, youll be going to school with Bella, and she will be showing you around ok?" He asked, looking between me and Bella to make sure that the plans he just made were alright with us. We looked at each other, and nodded our heads in his direction. Bella grabbed my arm, and pulled me into the house. It wasn't much, but I liked it. It was a two-story house, with a large enough living room. The kitchen was big enough to hold at least fifteen to twenty people, the upstairs looked even better than down stairs. Down stairs was a bit messy considering they were trying to clean up for when I got here, and the upstairs looked like it had already been cleaned.

"Alright, your class will be right next door to mine." She said, pointing to her room, then to mine. "This is your room." She grinned, opening the door and plopping down on my bed.

"Alright thanks Bella, now you can get out." I laughed, trying to push her out. She didn't move. "Bella." I whinned. "Come on, get out." I smacked her on the arm, as she just sat there laughing. I threw myself onto my bed, face first, pretending to cry.

"Oh fine you big baby." She laughed, smacking me in the butt. "Ill leave."

"Hey," I said, turning around. She stopped at the door, gripping the doorknobe, and turned around,

"What?"

"Thats private property." I said, placing a hand on my butt. She rolled her eyes and began walking out the door. Leaving with a huff I heard her say under her breath,

"Whatever loser." And with that she was gone. I stood back up, grabbing the dufflebag I brought up myself. I took out my shorts, and a tanktop, and slipped into them. Pulling down the covers, I climbed into bed, and instantly fell asleep. I was happy to finally be able to sleep without having strange dreams about Vampires and almost being killed. I was thankful to have a normal sleep, even if I didn't dream at all.
