*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

(Y/n) sat up as fast as lightning to the sound of a annoying alarm clock.

While her vision was still blurry she examined the area. White blanket, white bed sheets, white walls. It seemed to be a hospital room.

Wait! what?!?!

Why would she be in a hospital room? She decided to further investigate the room. Next to the bed she was laying on was a (also white) bedside table with the blaring alarm clock. She reached her hand out to silence the alarm when she saw her wrist. On her wrist the letters L.J carved in capital on her arm. Her eyes widened at the sight of it. She chose to ignore it for the moment and turn the alarm off. She picked the scuare hospital alarm up and brought it in front of her trying to find a button labeled "off".

Being unsuccessful, she gave up and looked at the door that was directly infront of her bed. The glass window was blurry, but clear enough were you can tell who is standing there. You layed back down staring at the ceiling.

How did I get here?

Where am I?

Suddenly the door opposite of your bed swung open and a nurse, you guessed was in her twentys stood in the door way. Her long, blond hair in a pony tail behind her. Her outfit looked like a typical nurses outfit, but at the same time, something was off. She closed the door behind her and walked into the room. "Hello (y/n)! How are you doing?" Her smooth voice was that of perfection, but it sounded sleep deprived. You continued to stare at her as she walked over to the alarm and somehow turned it off. It took you awhile to mentally prepare yourself to respond, and you sat up again. "where am I? Who are you? Why am I here?" You blurted out quite fast. The nurse lady had a not so reassuring smile on her face and walked to were your bed is and sat by your feet, she sighed and looked you square in the eyes. Her smile fell. "You probably dont remember... but yesterday you...got into....an accident..." her voice trailed off "so you are going to be staying here for a bit" you were confused "an accident? But wha-" you were cut off by the door being harshly swung open and a tall plump man made his way to your bedside.

The man was wearing a white formal shirt with a green and blue striped tie and black pants. He held out his hand out to you and said something you will never forget. It will be implanted in your mind for the rest of your life.

"Welcome to the (city name) asylum"

What?

An asylum?

Why the hell are you here?

It's been about an hour since you found out you were in an insane asylum. Mr. Edward Lincoln, the man who introduced to your new home, is actually your therapist/mentor. He said that he would be seeing you for appointments at around noon everyday. Maria is the name of the nurse lady who first came into your room. Her job was to- actually, you didn't know, she was just, there. After you were introduced to Edward and Maria, you got a tour and met the day time security guard, Travis. The asylum was nothing like how movies made them seem, with screaming and crying all the time (even though you heard a few cries every now and then, they were self pity cries). You layed on your bed and wondered what the "accident" was.

It must have been pretty bad if you wound up here.

You suddenly remembered your wrist and brought your arm to your face so you can see it.

L.J.

what did it stand for? Who put it there? Should you tell Edward? No. If you told him it would make the whole "insane" situation worse. You decided to keep it a secret as you closed your eyes for sleep. Just as you were drifting off, you could have sworn you hear pop goes the weasel playing from the shadowy corner of your room.

🎶'round and 'round the cobblers bench, the monkey chased the weasel. The monkey thought 'twas all in fun,

POP! Goes the weasel.
