Chapter 8 - In the Past Again, Futurees Captured

~Epilogue Naruto's POV~

I sat up slowly. My eyes had been open for a while now and I was staring up at the sky, watching the clouds roll across the stars.

'Shikamaru's really rubbing off on me.' I thought to myself, chuckling.

I looked at an unconcience Sarada. I stood up and jumped to the tallest branch and sure enough, I saw four hokage faces. I jumped down and woke up Sarada.

"Sarada." I whispered. "Wake up. We're here."

Upon hearing my voice her eyes opened and she sat up.

"We're just outside of our village, dattebayo." I told her.

"Might wanna take your Hokage cape off." she advised me.

"You're right~ttebayo." I mumbled, then took it off, folded it and placed it in a tree that I marked with the sign that meant 'seven'.

"This is right after Pervy-Sage and I got Granny Tsunade. They should be having her orientation tomorrow." I informed the young Uchiha.

She nodded as she put her headband into her pouch and pulled out some make-up that she had packed because she knew this would happen. She put it over my whiskers and gave me contacts, which she also had packed because she had a feeling this was going to happen, that would make my eyes a limestone color of green.

On our way, the story we came up with was, I was Sarada's uncle named Nato through marriage, and her name was Sarah. We were from a far off land and were touring the world in search for a new home.

Thankfully, the guards bought it and let us pass. They commented on my hair and I assured them that it was common where I was from.

"Who are we looking for again Sarah?" I asked once we got situated in a hotel.

I could tell we were being watched by the chakra signatures. I knew Sarada noticed them too. I told her through my expression that they were ANBU.

"Naruto Uzumaki." she said, acting as if she were a fan girl. "He's just so cool! He retrieved the Legendary Sannin Tsunade and she's also the new Hokage."

"So you found out huh?" I asked, acting like I was tired of the nonstop chatter.

"New spreads quickly. We've been in the Land of Fire for a few weeks." Sarada told me as if I had forgotten.

The chakra signatures slowly faded as we continued this fake conversation. Once I was sure they were completely gone, I let out a sigh.

"That was painful." I said. "It was hard not to say 'dattebayo'."

"No kidding." Sarada agreed putting a hand on her forehead.

"Let's get some sleep. We can find him tomorrow." I told her.

"Yeah." she responded, taking off her glasses.

I closed my eyes after taking out the contacts, getting to sleep in an instant.

~Tsunade's POV~

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"They seemed very off, as if they were acting." one of the ANBU members reported.

"You think they're spies?" I replied.

The four of them nodded.

"I trust your judgement." I told them. "You are to capture them at midnight."

"Yes." they said in unison.

They left my office within a blink to go capture these two suspicious people who had infiltrated Konoha. I looked out the window. Who were they?

~Timeskip~

The two finally regained consciousness. We had to knock them out because they had woken up and defended themselves with kunai. The girl's real name was Sarada, but she called the man 'Lord Seventh'.

"What did she mean by Lord Seventh?" I asked.

"If we were to tell you, it could rip a whole in space time itself~ttebayo." the blonde retorted.

I noticed the 'ttebato' and there was a strange black line that seemed to be covered up by make-up. I licked my thumb then wiped the tan substance off, revealing whisker-like marks on each cheek. He gave me a half-smirk, half-grin.

"Bright blue eyes, vibrant blonde hair, whisker marks on cheeks, and a strange saying of dattebayo." one of the ANBU members in the room recorded.

"Can I have my glasses?" the girl known as Sarada asked randomly. "I can't see a thing."

I walked around in front of her and she squinted, as if trying to see.

"Get her glasses." the male tied to chair ordered.

"Lord Seventh, this isn't our time period. You don't have any power." Sarada whispered to him loud enough that I could hear. "You're still twelve here."

"Gah. I hate it when others are right~ttebayo." he grumbled.

I looked at him and took an even closer look at him.

"Twelve in this time period huh?" I asked. "I think I've figured out his name."

"What is it then?" the blonde egged me on.

"Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki." I said in a victorious tone, a grin on my face.

"Took ya long enough, Granny Tsunade~ttebayo." Naruto returned the grin.
