~Epilogue Time, Naruto's POV~

I opened my eyes and slowly sat up. Sarada was already sitting up next to me.

"Darn it!" she exclaimed. "My darn left shin is broken."

I crouched in front of her and put my arms out so that she could put her legs in my hands. She grabbed around my neck and the middle of her thighs rested in my hands.

"Probably broke because of the fall." I muttered as we started walking.

"So what's the excuse?" she asked.

"You got kidnapped and I had to go save you because I was the one the person wanted." I said.

"You think they'll believe that?" Sarada responded.

"Probably not." I sighed. "Why not the truth?"

"Think about that. We tell people we went to that past." she said. "They'd think we were crazy."

"Then you come up with something." I retorted.

"I think the kidnapping sounds good, but I can come up with a better reason." she pondered. "The person wanted a young kid's sharingan, and since I'm the only one in all of the ninja world that could comply, I was taken while we were taking a break from our training."

"That's a better reason for sure." I sighed in defeat.

This Uchiha really makes me question myself. Well, more like question my knowledge. We continued our way back. I tripped multiple times on purpose to make it believable that we got attacked.

Sarada and I made some interesting conversation about Boruto. It went a little something like this.

"Do you like Boruto?" I asked, randomly.

"W-what?!" Sarada responded, extremely shocked, heat radiating off of her face. "O-of course n-not!"

"Mmm, hmm." I hummed, smirking. "I don't buy it."

"That's absurd Lord Hokage!" Sarada basically shrieked in my ear.

"Haha!" I laughed. "You know you like him."

"J-just don't say anything about it to my dad." she murmured.

"So you admit it!" I exclaimed.

"I did not! I only like Boruto as a friend!" Sarada persisted.

"You like him more than just a friend." I insisted.

"No I don't!" she whisper-yelled.

"You just keep telling yourself that." I chuckled, looking to the sky.

I teased her about it every now and then. Every time she would blush and deny it. I knew Boruto would do the same.

It was almost sundown when we reached Konoha. The guys at the gates looked at us in shock as we entered. I just smiled and chuckled at them.

"First stop, the Uchiha house, dattebayo." I said.

"Right." Sarada mused. "And hopefully my dad won't kill you on the spot."

"He might be tempted." I said, letting out a soft laugh.

Sarada, who was still on my back, laughed on with me. Everyone was shocked at our arrival, seeing as we had been gone for almost two days. Especially how we looked.

The Hokage, carrying the young Sarada Uchiha on his back, both covered in dirt, scrapes, cuts, and bruises, not to mention Sarada had passed out from exhaustion a while ago.

"Don't mind us~ttebayo." I sweatdropped, chuckling nervously.

The villagers slowly looked away and went back to what they were doing. We reached the Uchiha house after about 10 minutes of walking.

"Sasuke! Sakura! Open the door! I have somebody for you, dattebayo!" I quietly yelled through the door.

The door opened to reveal a terrifying Sasuke and a terribly worked up Sakura.

"Sarada!" Sakura exclaimed, taking her daughter from my back and hugging her. "Naruto!"

"She has a broken leg, so be careful." I informed the pink haired female.

Sakura nodded and took Sarada to the hospital while Sasuke demanded that tell him everything that happened.

"We were taking a break from our training when a cloaked guy showed up." I started the lie. "I tried to stop him from taking Sarada, but he wounded my leg. I went after them and we crossed into the Land of Rain.

"I caught up to him and he told me that he was going to take Sarada's sharingan since he needed them from a young Uchiha and Sarada is the only one the shoe would fit." I continued the huge lie. "I stopped him from taking Sarada's doujutsu, but he got away, probably long gone by now. Sarada's leg got broken when she tried to fight the man on her own and then I carried her here and now I'm telling you what happened."

Sasuke was silent for a long time. So long in fact, Sakura came back and told us that Sarada had to have to cast. He was still quiet when we got to the hospital.

Sarada told me what she had told Sakura and it was the same as mine. I let out a sigh of relief, knowing we had some kind of chance of pulling it off.

"Go home Lord Seventh." Sarada smiled at me. "Your family probably misses you."

"You're gonna be alright?" I asked, unable to keep the concern out of my voice.

"Yes." she chuckled. "You haven't slept for over twenty-four hours. Go home. Get some sleep."

"Alright." I said. I got up and rubbed her head. I was about to step out when I looked at Sarada and gave her one of my goofy smiles. "Thanks. For... Ya know."

She nodded, then I left. I went to my house where I got tackled to death by my children and had Hinata cry into my chest for a good ten minutes. But I don't blame them. I was got for a two days or something like that.

I laid down in bed with Hinata and inhaled her sweet scent. I missed her while I was gone. I pulled her close to me and fell asleep, not having any specific dream.
