~Inojin's POV~
I heard footsteps approach as I gave Himawari a sunflower. I kissed her forehead as I heard some one clear their throat next to me. Knowing the young Uzumaki and I had gotten busted, my face turned red and I turned to see none other than the Hokage. What was weird was that Sarada Uchiha was on his back.
"D-dad?" Himawari stuttered, holding the sunflower close to her chest.
"Lord Seventh." I greeted nurvously.
"Himawari, why are you here instead of at home?" he asked, obviously pissed as he was giving off killing intent.
"W-well... I, um..." Himawari started, looking to me as if wanting me to continue.
"Uh... we were... with... um..." I started, trying to come up with a story. "Ah! We were with Shikadai, Chouchou, and Mitsuki, but they had to leave and Himawari didn't want to leave yet."
I had to lie to Uncle Naruto, even though I didn't like it. Though I wasn't about to tell him the truth. To be honest, Himawari and I were on a semi-date, but it had to be in secret, considering Himawari's father was really protective of her.
I shuffled closer to Himawari and she grabbed my hand, holding it tightly. It hurt, but I didn't complain. Even more killing intent.
Sarada whispered something into the hokage's ear and he sighed.
"Alright." Naruto stated. "You can continue with whatever you were doing. But I expect Himawari to be home within an hour, you hear me?"
I swallowed loudly and we nodded. He left, Sarada waving back at us. Himawari and I both let out relieved breaths.
I turned to the purplish-raven and pulled a paper out of my pocket. I gave it to her and she unfolded it. The moment Himawari gazed at it, she blushed immensely. She hugged me tight and I hugged back, kissing the top of her head.
"Thank you Jin!" she exclaimed excitedly.
(A/N: Jin is Himawari's nickname for Inojin)
"Anytime, Hima-chan." I replied, smiling a genuine smile.
"I love you." she said, pulling away from the hug.
"I love you too." I replied and planted a soft kiss on her lips.
Her smile was really big and we held each other's hand, fingers entwined. I walked her home in case of anything bad happening. Luckily nothing did happen. I kissed her hand, causing her to giggle.
"Until tomorrow, my gorgeous sunflower." I told her, smiling.
"Goodbye Jin!" Himawari exclaimed. "I'll see you tomorrow, alright?"
I nodded. "Of course Hima-chan."
The two of us were unofficially dating, and the only two that knew were my parents, and they seemed proud of me.
I hugged Himawari one last time and then set out for my house.
"Mom!" I called. "I'm home!"
"Inojin!" my mother, Ino, called back. "How did it go?"
"Hokage-sama interrupted us, but I think he thought it was only a meet up of friends." I said nervously.
"That Naruto." Ino sighed, coming out of the kitchen. "He's just worried about his daughter."
"I know." I muttered. "But I'm kind of dating her. We really like each other too."
"I know honey." my mom sympathized. "But it's off to bed with you."
"Yes mom." I replied.
I went upstairs and got ready for bed. When I laid down, my father, Sai, came into my room, after knocking of course.
"I hear Naruto interrupted?" he said in a questioning tone.
"Yeah. But Himawari is his only daughter, so I suppose I can see why he's a little over protective." I replied.
"It's alright." my dad said. "It happens. Just be a little more careful, alright?"
I nodded, my dad gave me a smile, then left. I closed my eyes and thought about Himawari. I couldn't help but smile. I eventually drifted off to sleep.
