I plopped down on the couch and let out a content sigh. Jonah stepped into the lounge looking anxious and bit his lip as he sank down into the seat.
"Something wrong?" I asked.
"I can tell you anything, right?" He asked.
"Course. We've been best mates since the day we were born."
"I did something really bad."
"Like what?"
"Well... I did something selfish to get someone to like me."
"Okay, what did you do?"
Jonah paused and looked up at me to meet my eyes. "I hit someone with a baseball bat."
My heart stopped. He was the one... who landed Ethan in the hospital?
"You didn't." I spat out.
"I did it for you. I couldn't've had you falling for that peasant."
"He's not a peasant and you hurt him. I can't forgive you for that." I said, standing.
"It's not my fault that I've always dreamed of loving you and ruling by your side."
"Well, I'll make sure that you never get to the throne then. Say hello to your parents to because I'm having Ricardo take you home."
"So you're just going to kick me out? You know you're just dating him because you used to be mates when you were younger."
"That's far from the truth."
"Face it, Dean, you can't hide the fact that he's royalty from him forever."
"Watch me."
My phone buzzed in my pocket and looked at the text Ethan sent me.
