You were considering skipping class for the rest of the day. It sounds bad without context, everyone close to you just started dropping like flies and you weren't exactly feeling in  the mood to go to your evening classes. So instead, you hid in the gardening shed, just scrolling through your phone, texting the few living friends you still had. Most of your friends didn't reply, they all noticed that all the deaths at the school were somehow linked to you, and everyone thought you were some sort of bad luck curse. Even Oka and the rest of the occult club, y'know the one who are into curses and evil and stuff, they all refuse to talk to you. Everyone except for Ayano.

Ayano is a bit weird though, she has only talked to you a few times, she was stuttering the entire time, it was cute though. She hadn't really talked to you since then, you were kind of hoping she would, but you don't really like talking to people first.

You were thinking about everything that happened when you heard someone walking up to the garden shed. You rushed to hide, it wasn't a great hiding spot but there wasn't really anywhere to hide in the shed. From the hiding spot you were at, you couldn't see who walked in but you could hear everything. You heard someone breathing heavy and pick up something metallic and walk back out.

You looked around and saw that the electrical saw was missing from its spot on the shelf. You stayed in the shed for a few minutes to make sure that the person left. Once it was safe, you ran back to the school for your last class of the day. When you got there the teacher was in the middle of the lesson and didn't notice you walking in, so you just sat down in your normal spot.

You barely got to listen to any of the lesson before a kid who had been sent to the nurse's office a few minutes ago ran into the classroom panting.

"Student..... Killed...." The poor kid was barely able to talk. The teacher told him to show her the body and the two ran over to another part of the school. A few people followed them to try and see the body themselves, but you really didn't want to go see it right now. You had other things to think about, like how your parents would react when they found out you skipped the majority of the day.

One of the kids who had followed the teacher and the other student ran back into the classroom.

"It was so gross... She was cut in half and the cut was so messy, it looked like someone sawed her in half."

You head snapped up during the last few words. Sawed in half? Could the person who grabbed the saw while you were in the shed be the same person who killed the student? You felt sick to your stomach. It was probably one of the delinquent kids, they're always getting into as much trouble as they can. Today wouldn't be the first time the police had to come to school.

Ayano slipped into class in her gym uniform and sat down right next to you, staring at you with a blank face.

"What did I miss?" She asked while taking out a notebook, ready to copy down your notes.

"Oh. Well I got here late, too. So I don't exactly have the notes... Why are you wearing your gym clothes?" You switched the topic, trying to avoid talking about why you came in late.

"Oh, some jerk spilt his drink on my normal uniform during lunch." Ayano said quickly and put her notebook back in her bag. You didn't question it, even though it was three in the afternoon.

"Hey, _________? Could you promise me something?" Ayano asked you after a long pause.

"Sure, yea, anything." You smiled at Ayano, who seemed to send the smallest smile back.

"No dating until you're married." Ayano said in a very serious tone, even though she's always serious, but you could tell she was really serious about this.

"W-what, are you my father now?" (I may not be your father but you can call me daddy (sorry)) you stuttered rubbing you hand on the back of your neck.

"No, but I just don't want your heart to be broken." Ayano said and grabbed your hand from across the space between the desks. "So promise me?"

You could feel yourself blushing as Ayano's hand stayed tightly around your's. You have no idea why, but you think you may be developing feelings for Ayano.

The two of you awkwardly carried on a conversation until the police arrived at the school. You lied and said you had no idea what happened when an officer came up to you to ask you questions. The school just carried on as normal, as this was now a regular occurrence.

Since you got kicked out of your club for bringing bad luck, you just sat by the cherry blossom tree on top of the hill, watching as the pink (petals? Leaves? What are they?) fell from the tree to the ground with just the slightest wind. It was calming, especially that noise that happens when wind goes through trees (honestly, that's my favourite noise don't judge). You say leaning up against the tree, reading your book in peace when something blocked your sunlight. You looked up to see Yui (the evil red-head) standing right in front of you.

"Ok. I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news. But it was Ayano." Yui said, you didn't understand what she meant, what was Ayano? She took your questioning stare as a hint to explain. "The murders. All of them. Ayano killed all those people. I saw her kill someone. I saw her do it."

"W-what do you mean? Ayano's such a nice girl, she'd never do anything to harm anyone." You protested, but Yui just kept telling you that she was a murderer.

"She's coming after me next. It's because I like you. I still have time, but I don't want to leave you here with her. Run away with me, please." The way she said 'please' was less of a question and more of a passive-aggressive demand.

"Wait, you like me? Aww, thank you." You were still pleasantly shocked to find out that the girl who you had been crushing on during the first month of the school year actually liked you.

"Were you not listening to me? We need to go. Now." Yui started talking a bit louder, trying to get her point across.

"I'm not running away with you, I haven't even finished highschool yet." You said as Yui took your hand and pulled you off the ground.

"Please just come. I need to know you're safe. Plea--" Yui stopped and screamed before falling to the ground, blood pouring out of the hole in her back.

You looked back up from Yui to see Ayano.

"I love you, everything I do is for you. And this is how you repay me. Running away with another girl. I love you. You can't do this to me. I killed all those people for you. I love you." Ayano got increasingly angry as she clutched her knife dangerously close to you.

"Y-you what?.." You stuttered. What else were you supposed to do in this situation. All you could do was hope that she would calm down and leave you alone.

"I love you." Ayano constantly said as she grabbed you head and started bashing it into the tree. Soon, everything went dark.
