The police took her in to custody and questioned her. Teresa couldn't lie, but she could tell half truths.

"Alright young lady, you won't be in here for long if you tell the truth, understand?" the officer asked formally.

"I understand, what do you want to know?" Teresa answered simply.

The officer seemed shocked that this was so easy and continued with, "What were you doing at those markets?"

"The same thing as everybody else, shopping," Teresa half truthed.

"Do know who this person is?" He held up a picture of Bella.

"Yes, I do, she goes to my school," Teresa answered, avoiding the details.

"Aha, and were you with her at the markets?" he sat down in the chair on the other side of the table.

"Well, that depends on what you mean, I was with her at the markets, but I was not with her if you know what I'm saying," Teresa replied.

"Okay, let's try something else," the officer pulled out a picture of Margo, "do you this person?"

"Yes, she also goes to my school," Teresa answered.

"Were you with her?" the officer asked.

"Yes, I told you, she goes to my school," Teresa avoided the answer.

"Not that," the officer looked as though this was going to be tough.

"Not what?" Teresa was doing her best to confuse this officer.

"Not school, the markets," the officer tried again.

"No, she goes to my school, not the markets," Teresa tried her hardest not to laugh or smile.

"Yes, I know that, was she with you at the markets?" the officer was looking exhausted.

"Yes, I was with her at the markets," Teresa answered.

"You were?" the officer almost sighed with relief.

"Were what?" Teresa asked.

"Were with her at the markets?" the officer was almost defeated.

"Who at the markets?" Teresa was absolutely laughing inside.

"Margo Crai!" the officer cried out.

"What about her?" it was almost impossible for Teresa to not burst out laughing, she would have too, if it hadn't been a serious situation.

"Where you with Margo Crai at the markets?!" the officer looked desperate now.

"Well, I was with her at the markets, but not with her if you know what I'm saying," Teresa repeated once again.

The officer just shook his head, "You are free to go, you clearly don't know anything."

"Why thank you good sir, this has been such a lovely tea party with you, but I really must go," Teresa loved playing dumb, it was fun.

"Yes, whatever, off you go," The officer opened the door for her and she walked out of the building with that dazed look on her face until she was far enough away to start laughing her head off.
