When they arrived at the Hospital, it was almost eleven thirty at night. It had been a long night, and only one of the many to come. To this day Margo, Bella and Teresa still remember what the hospital was like and how strange it was.
The outside of the hospital was a plain, dark, L-shaped building with only a few lamp posts still working, giving it a gloomy, haunted look. There seemed to be a strong breeze that night as trees were rustling loudly and anyone who looked for them could only see dark shapes moving about in a subtle yet harsh way.
Inside the Hospital, it seemed deserted. The hall ways were empty and the waiting room had only the attendant at the counter.
"How may I help you?" The woman at the desk looked up and smiled sweetly. Bella hated her already.
"We're looking for a person named Teresa Villa? We called earlier and they said she was here in surgery. Which room is she in?" Margo asked as politely as she could.
"Ah, yes. Teresa. She is in the third room on the third floor. Do you need assistance finding it?" The lady continued to smile her fake sweet smile as she said this.
"No, we'll be fine our own, thanks," Bella snapped before Margo could say anything else.
The deserted Hospital feeling continued all the way to Teresa's room. They sat down and waited. What was really only five minutes, felt like hours. Bella couldn't take it. She hated waiting. She wanted something to happen. Now.
Finally the doctor came out and told them they were able to visit her for a few hours, then she must get some rest.
Teresa was already waiting for them when the door opened. The only thing was, she didn't expect Bella to be there as well as Margo. Julian had gone home a long time ago and told her parents that it must have been some kind of terrorist attack on the wrong person.
"Teresa!" Margo cried as she ran over to hug Teresa.
"Ouch! Watch the stomach! And I was worried about you too," Teresa replied laughing even though it pained, "Why were you so worried? What happened?"
"Someone blew up the hospital you were supposed to go to. That obviously freaked Margo out. So we came here," Bella explained.
Surprisingly to Bella and Margo, instead of yelling out 'someone blew up the hospital?!', she nodded, "yeah, the same person who shot me and I think I know who it is too."
"What?!" Both Margo and Bella cried together.
Teresa nodded again, this time saying, "yeah, bet you didn't think I had enemies did you? Well I do and her name Laura. She hates me and I can't say I'm particularly fond of her either. She blames me for loosing all her friends in school, says I stole them away from her. What rubbish, I just made friends with her friends and she didn't like me so she started to drift away. I was in a car crash a few years back and her brother happened to be in the same car as I was giving him a lift home. Well, an idiot comes flying into the side of the car, the same side he was on and well... he ah... let's just say he's in a better place. Anyway, Laura blames me for his death and says she lost everything cause of me. She also hates Bella. Why? Cause cause your my best friend's other best friend, which in her case, classifies me as your best friend, Bella."
"Yeah, but bombing a hospital? That's a bit much, don't ya think?" Margo asked, shocked.
"Now that I think about it, maybe she didn't do the hospital. Maybe she didn't even do me. Maybe I just thought it was her cause she hates me. I don't know. But Bella, do you know anyone with darkish skin and a tattoo of what looks like a dragon starting on his neck going down his back? He has brown eyes and a longish nose and his accent sounds a little Indian. Do you know anyone like that?" Teresa was staring at Bella intensely.
"When did you see him?" Bella needed to know if this was someone that she recognised, someone who might have been in the same gang as her uncle.
"I saw him as I passed him on the way to our house, before all the shooting. Then he came in to visit me and said he was sorry for what happened, saying he was sure it wasn't meant to happen to me and that I shouldn't be in this place, someone else should cause I looked like very nice and innocent girl," Teresa explained then asked herself, "why?"
"I might know who it is then. Might. There's this man who was apart of my uncles gang-" Bella began but Teresa cut in.
"Your uncle's gang?" Teresa knew it wasn't just some hospital fee that needed to paid, she knew it was something bad. So she didn't understand why she was shocked.
"Yes, gang, but anyway, there was this man who was in this gang that my uncle was in named Raaj. I didn't know him very well but I knew his style. Cause you see the gang is called the Mercenaries and they... well they..." Bella tried to think of an easy way to say it, but there was no easy way, only the tough way. She breathed in and continued, "Well, they...um... they steal large sums of money, sell and take drugs, are alcoholics, harass women then turn them into sex slaves and if anyone of the women has a baby, they beat her and throw her and the baby out on the streets, build, sell and use bombs occasionally, kill mercilessly, they even kill babies, children, sick or injured people, old people like they are just things that can be replaced easily. And if they want something, it's give it to them by this time or your out of the gang," she shaped her hand like a Gun and pointed it to her forehead then waved it up in an a way to show 'your dead', "my uncle needs a whole lot a money, to give this gang, but he has to did it by himself, that's why they are shooting us and blowing up hospitals, cause they want us to stay out of it and not give my uncle the money," Bella finally finished.
Teresa thought for a moment then said, "You said this Raaj had a style?"
"Yeah, by that I mean, he'll wait for the target at a distance, snipe them and if he gets the wrong target, he'll 'apologise' to them, but before that, he'll try and come up with a way to stop the ambulance arriving to the hospital in time to save them. It's usually just causing a traffic jam or shooting the tyres of the ambulance, he's never gone as far as blowing up a hospital before, which means this must be bigger than I thought," replied Bella. She looked over at Margo, ho had been quiet for quite a long time. She was listening, but she was also on her phone, searching something up.
When she gasped, both Bella and Teresa looked over.
"They've called for our arrest."
