"What?!" Bella cried, "Already? That's not possible!"
"Shh! You'll make the people outside suspicious!" Teresa hissed.
"Sorry, but it's only been a few hours!" Bella exlaimed quietly.
"It says here that we got our faces caught on camara. Look," Margo held up the phone so they could see the slightly blurry but still easy to tell, faces of Bella and Margo.
For the first time in Bella's life since her mum started drinking, she was frightened. She started walking around the room in a frantic yet graceful panic. It was something she did when she was scared or worried. Ever since her mum started drinking because she realised that her dad wasn't ever coming back from L.A., she had learned how to cut out panic, shut down fear, forget about worry. Now was different. Her barriers had come down and there was nothing stopping what felt like years of worry and fear wash over her, like she was a simple rock being flooded over by a huge wave of water.
Teresa watched Bella with interest. She was worried for her and Margo, but never had she seen someone behave like this. Ever since Teresa had laid eyes on Bella, she had always thought that Bella didn't care about anything except her own desires. So seeing Bella practically waltz around the room in a panic was a very interesting thing.
Margo however, was surprised she hadn't started doing the same thing as Bella. She could feel the sweat running down her face, and her heart beating wildly. Margo, unlike Teresa and Bella, was not afraid to embrace her emotions and let them take her where they will. And right now, they were taking her to a world of panic. Margo, although had done some bad things, had never done one as bad as this. So she sat there looking like she was about to throw up.
Out of all them in the sea of emotion, Teresa surfaced first, "so, what do we do now?"
"We hide. Lie low for a while. Then we give the money over to my uncle," Bella had stopped walking around now.
"Where do we go?" Margo asked quietly.
"My place," Teresa stated. Bella and Margo looked at her, about to disagree but Teresa added, "they don't know that I am apart of this. So they won't know I have fugitives in my house. I'm like your secret ally that no one knows about. We're going to my place, right now."
"How? You're still injured!" Margo burst out. She didn't like where this was heading.
"We break out, duh," Teresa didn't mean it in a mean way, she was only joking around, "and I'll be fine, all I need is rest, I mean I've already been stitched up, so it's not like I'll break out bleeding or anything. So shall we do it?"
"I'm in," Bella put her hand out in front or Teresa, who placed her hand on top. They both looked at Margo, waiting for her response.
Margo sighed. She knew she was beaten, but that didn't mean she was going to abandon them just like that, "Me too," she placed her hand top of Teresa's.
"What should we call ourselves? And we should have code names in case we need them to," Margo suggested.
"Hannah. Hannah is my code name." Teresa stated.
Bella snorted, "Hannah? Why Hannah?"
"It's my middle name," Teresa said simply, "What's your code name?"
"Tyger. Because it's what my mum used to call me when I was little, her little tiger," Bella replied. They both turned to Margo.
"Ellen because my middle name is Ella and everyone I know knows it," Margo explained.
"Very well, Hannah, Ellen and Tyger it is. Now, what should we call ourselves?" Bella asked.
"The Fugitives because well, that's what we are and forever will be," Teresa suggested.
"I like it," Bella and Margo said together.
"From now on, we stick together and help each other always because we are and will always will be known as," Bella started then paused for breath,
"The Fugitives."
