"We can't, I mean can't leave her there and run!" Margo protested for the what seemed like zillionth time.
"We shouldn't have brought her into this. It was a bad idea. I told you that at the start!," Bella argued once again.
"But we did and she helped us and now we should help her. I mean, she even took a bullet for us!" Margo continued to argue.
"Not on purpose though," Bella shot back.
"Yeah, but would you take a bullet, weather on purpose or not?" Margo pointed out. She stared at Bella to make her agree. Bella just turned away.
"We could at least go and visit her," Margo sighed in a defeated way.
"Fine, but just a visit, we're not going to stay there long," Bella huffed.
They were silent the whole way there. Margo worriedly looking out the window and Bella staring at er feet. When the cab arrived at the hospital Margo gasped loudly making Bella look straight up. All around them were fire fighters, ambulances and police. Bella was about to duck down low to hide from the police when Margo cried out Oh my gosh, Look! and pointed at the hospital.
Where there should have been a tall, whole, beautiful building was a half blown apart wrecked building that occasionally dropped large debree.
Margo wasted no time. "Pull over!" She shouted to the cab driver who immediately did so. Before Bella could say anything, Margo was running over to the nearest Police officer.
"What happened?" Margo asked worriedly but also in a demanding way.
"A bomb was planted somewhere in the building, we don't know for sure who did it or why." The policeman explained calmly.
Margo began to panic when Bella joined her side, "our friend, Teresa Villa, she was shot moments before and was on her way to the hospital when we last saw her. Do you think she might have been in the bombings?" She asked calmly.
The policeman shook his head, "I'm sorry, but I don't know. If I were you, I'd call the near by hospital and see if your friend was one of the lucky people who were sent to the hospital about thirty kilometres from here," he wrote something down on his pad and handed it over to Bella, "Here's the number."
"Thank you," Bella replied. She pulled out her phone and dialled the numbers. Never had she felt so guilty.
Margo snatched the phone out of Bella's hands. "Hello, is anyone there?"
"Yes, this is the St. Marionette's Hospital, how may I help?" The voice behind the phone asked in formal matter.
"Hi, I just want to know if this person arrived in an ambulance there and not been killed at this hospital, her name is Teresa Villa?" Margo asked hurriedly.
"Sure, just give me a moment to check..." The voice replied but before Margo could here the rest, another explosion came from behind them. The building was now burning as well as crumbling and police yelling out at people near by to back away.
"I'm sorry, but I missed what you said as an explosion just went off behind me, so I she there?" Margo said panicking.
"I said I found her name. You did say it was Teresa Villa?" The lady replied annoyed.
"Yes,"
"Well then, she is alright at the moment, is under surgery now, but is okay," the lady's voice explained quickly, clearly trying to stir up drama.
"Thank you very much, good bye," Margo hung up as she turned around to see a nervous looking Bella. Only when Margo smiled did Bella remember what was truly going on.
"What did they say?" Bella cried over the noise around them.
"She's alright but she's in surgery," Margo called, the relief hanging in her voice.
"Surgery?" Bella yelled out as yet another avalanche of ruble fell from the practically destroyed building behind her.
"Yeah, probably to remove the bullet from her body so she doesn't die of lead poisoning or something!" Margo shouted so Bella could hear. She started running to the cab which was still parked where they had left it. "Take me and my friend to the St Marionette's Hospital now."
