Lucky: baby

I walked in the house behind Ashley. It's been a month and I have had to pick her up everyday. "Why can't you just accept it" she asked. "Why can't you accept the fact that I have a girl" I said. "What y'all arguing about" my mom asked. "I'm pregnant and Lucky doesn't want to take care of his baby" Ashley said. "What the fuck? We weren't talking about that. We were talking about her trying to be my girl" I said. "Well I am your girl now because I'm pregnant" she said. "So you can take care of Clover's kid but you can't take care of your own kid" my mom said. "Mom it's not my baby. I'm a virgin" I said. "He's lying. I'm having his baby" Ashley said. "I haven't had sex a day in my life. I am a virgin. I don't plan on having sex until I'm married" I said. "I don't believe that bullshit. You are taking care of this baby" my mom said. "No I'm not" I said. She slapped me. I grabbed my keys and ran up to my room. I threw some clothes and stuff in a bag and left.

I drove around for a minute then stopped to get gas. Then I stopped by Paris's house and went to knock on the door. Clover opened the door. "Luck what are you doing here" she asked. "I want you to come with me" I said. "Where" she asked. "To my dad's house" I said. "I have to ask" she said. Paris was behind her. "Y'all can go. He looks like he really needs you" she said. Clover looked at me and wiped a tear I didn't know had fell. I followed her to pack her and Loyalty's bag.

We got in the car and she just looked at me worried. "Lucky what's wrong" she asked as I started driving. I shook my head. I started thinking how my mom was changing. "Lucky pull over" Clover said. "I'm fine Clo" I said. She put her hand on mine. "Lucky just pull over. Please" she said wiping a tear off my face. I pulled over at a old store. "Come over here to my side" she said unbuckling our seat belts. I got out of the car and went to her side. She got out and hugged me. I just cried in her chest. "My momma believed her" I cried. "Baby just calm down then talk" she said. I pulled away from her and wiped my face.

"Ashley told my mom that she was pregnant by me. I tried to tell my mom that I'm still a virgin but she wouldn't believe me" I said. I saw her tense up a bit when I said pregnant. "Wow maybe your dad has answers. Let's just go to his house" she said. "You don't believe me" I asked. "No I believe you. I just can't believe that she wants you that bad. It's just pathetic" she said. I nodded wiping my face again. "I'll drive just put the address in the gps" she said walking over to the drivers side. "You sure" I asked. "Yes boy get in" she said getting in. "Yes ma'am" I mumbled getting in. I typed in the address and she took off down the road. I felt myself drifting off to sleep.
