"What the fuck do you mean she's there?" Alicia says with a firm tone.

"I mean she is sitting on my couch with a bottle of vodka in her hand, looking dead at me."

She sighs.

"What's going on?" Rollens asks Alicia.

"My mother is at my boyfriend's house," Alicia answers.

"Do we need to come down there Eddy?" Alicia asks me.

"Umm... no I don't think so. Where do you want me to take her?"

Her mother hasn't taken her eyes off me.

"Try home, her home, then if she comes back to my apartment or your house, she is going to rehab, okay?"

"Okay, love you."

"Love you too, see you tonight."

"Tonight."

I hang up. I look at Ms. James and she's still staring at me.

"Okay Ms. James, let's get you home," I say nicely and slowly walk over to her.

"I don't need to go home, I need to see Alicia," she says. Her words are slurred.

"Alicia is working right now."

"I want to see her."

"Ms. James..."

"Kendra."

"Kendra, Alicia doesn't want to see you."

She takes another swig.

"I...I... want to see her."

"You need to go home."

She stumbles to the door.

"Ms. James, I can take you home..."

"Don't... I walked here. I'm walking back."

I walk up to her. When she opened the door, the cool wind hit her. She fell into my arms.
