I sit in my office when I hear a light knock on my door.
"Come in." I say. It's Ilene, the secretary.
"Eddy?" Ilene asks.
"Yes?"
"Mr. Collings wants a word with you."
"Okay."
Ilene disappears from my office. I get up and leave my office. I get on the elevator and press the '22' button.
The elevator dings and the doors open as I walks towards his office. I knock on his door three times.
"Come in Eddy." he says. I come in and sit down in a blue cushioned chair and Jeffrey is at his desk. We look at each other.
"Eddy, how would you like to be COO of Collings Communications?" he asks. My heart stops for a second.
"Really? That would be great. Jeffrey, thank you." I smile as his phone rings. He answers as I still stay in my seat. He mouths 'Go to lunch' and I do just that. I head out to the elevator. I press the 'L' button and wait happily.
The elevator ding and the doors slide open as I see Alicia and her partner Rollens at the front desk. I go over to the front desk to meet them.
"Hey babe and hello Rollens." I say.
"Hey babe," Alicia responds.
"Nice to see you again," adds Rollens.
