"What are you two doing here?" Eddy asks curiously.
"We're here to talk to Jeffrey about his business trips from a few years ago and see if they have anything to do with those missing girls at the university." I answer.
He gulps and his face drops. I look at him with concern.
"Are you okay babe?" I pat his shoulder.
He snaps out of thought. "Yeah, I just haven't eaten yet, but I have great news, I'll tell you later."
I smile, "My place tonight?"
"Yeah, I miss my Chaz."
"Chaz misses you too."
He kisses my cheek. "I'm going to get lunch, I love you."
"I love you too."
"Nice seeing you Rollens."
"Ditto," she answers. Eddy disappears through the clear double doors.
"Ready to go see Jeffrey?" Rollens asks as we walk into the elevator.
"Yeah," I breathe out as I press the '22' button. The elevator dings and the doors open. We exit the elevator and walk briskly into his office. When we reach his door, Rollens knocks on the door. He opens the door and we walk in. We sit in the cushioned chairs as he closes the door and sits at his desk.
"Jeffrey Collings, I'm Detective Alicia James and this is my partner, Detective Olivia Rollens and we would like to ask you a couple of questions." I state.
He looks at me, looks up and down the length of my body and smirks. "Ah Alicia, it's been a while since I've seen your lovely face."
"Mr. Collings, we would like to ask you questions about your business trips and their connection with Mills University." says Rollens.
"Of course, what about them?"
"Well, we would like to know everyone that has been on these business trips."
"Okay," he says as he logs on his computer, "How far back?"
"The years of 2004 through 2007." I say. His face drops just like Eddy's earlier.
"Not a problem, I'll print them out in a minute. Is that all?"
"For now, yes."
We wait another 10 minutes and he prints us both a copy of the list. He hands one to each of us.
"I hope this could help you both," he says. We get up to leave.
"Thank you Jeffrey," I say.
"No, thank you Alicia." he smirks a little again.
"Thank you Mr. Colings," Rollens says.
"Thank you Detective Rollens." he says.
We exit his office and head for the elevator.
"Well if that wasn't completely awkward, I don't know what was," Rollens says bluntly. She presses the 'L' button as the doors close.
"Yeah," I look down at the list, "Fuck, there's at least 40 people on this list, maybe even more." One name catches my eye: Edward Wilson.
Oh shit. Eddy?
