~Angel's POV~

I flinched when Garroth sat next to me... I still didn't trust him enough. We just sat in awkward silence. I did want to know what he was going to tell me in O'khasis though... "Um... Garroth... What were you going to tell me back in O'khasis?" I asked him. "Hm? Oh... that... it's nothing..." He said. I stared at him, and raised my eyebrows. I knew when he was lying... he was terrible at hiding it too. To be honest... if it was that he liked me... I wouldn't be surprised... 'WAIT HOLD UP BRAIN! DON'T LEAVE THAT THOUGHT YET!' I thought. 'Does he like me... A LOT?! If that's the case he's way better at hiding feelings than lies.' "Angel... You don't need to know that right now..." He said. I felt distant from him... like becoming a member of the jury of nine made him more... evil... somehow... I felt like crying... that's when I remembered a song mom used to sing...

Her daddy gave her, her first pony

Then taught her to ride

She climbed high in that saddle

Fell I don't know how many times

He taught her a lesson that she learned

Maybe a little too well

Cowgirls don't cry, ride, baby, ride

Lessons in life are gonna show you in time

Soon enough you gonna know why

It's gonna hurt every now and then

If you fall get back on again

Cowgirls don't cry

She grew up, she got married

But never was quite right

She wanted a house, a home and babies

He started comin' home late at night

She didn't let him see it break her heart

She didn't let him see her fall apart

'Cause cowgirls don't cry, ride, baby, ride

Lessons of life are gonna show you in time

Soon enough you gonna know why

It's gonna hurt every now and then

If you fall get back on again

Cowgirls don't cry

Phone rang early one mornin'

Her momma's voice, she'd been cryin'

Said it's your daddy, you need to come home

This is it, I think he's dyin'

She laid the phone down by his head

Last words that he said

Cowgirls don't cry, ride, baby, ride

Lessons of life show us all in time

Too soon God will let you know why

If you fall get right back on

The good Lord calls everybody home

Cowgirl don't cry.

I couldn't tell Garroth was right next to me... till I opened my eyes. I jumped a little and said, "Okay, I should be used to you of all people doing that... you used to do it back in O'khasis! Why am I still not punching you in the arm?!" I asked as I suddenly, kind of lightly kind of not lightly, punched his arm. He just laughed it off...
