Can I just thank you people reading this for the reads on my book because I didn't expect to get any more than 10 reads so wow! Thank you x

I avoided Nathan for the rest of the day. Well, I tried to avoid him - it didn't really work. He kept following me around, trying to get me to listen to him, but I couldn't be bothered. I didn't want to hear him out, I didn't want to talk to him about it, I didn't want to see him, I just wanted to sit outside during break time and talk to Jenna about my dad whilst feeling the warmth of the sun beating down on me. That wasn't too much to ask, was it? Obviously it was.

Jenna and I were lying down on the grass and I was telling her my favourite memories about my dad when a shadow suddenly blocked me from the suns rays of light.

'Nikki, can we talk?'

'Go away Nathan.'

'How about no?'

I sat up straight and turned around to face him, 'Go. Away.'

'Not until you hear me out.'

'I don't want to.'

'Nathan, go away. She's going through a hard enough time at the moment and she doesn't need you making it any harder. Leave her alone.' Jenna butted in.

'Shut up Jenna, I just want her to hear me out. Is that such a crime? Please, Nikki, I'm begging you.' Nathan moved his gorgeous dirt-blonde hair out of the way from his lush hazel eyes. I couldn't resist.

'Fine.' I stood up and Nathan and I walked over to a wall and sat down, 'I'm not a pushover. I wouldn't usually do this. I wouldn't usually hear people out.'

'Why?' Nathan quizzed.

I shrugged, 'I don't know?' I stated but it came out more like a question.

'So why are you hearing me out?' Nathan tucked my fringe behind my ear, looking at me quizzically.

'Why are you asking so many questions?!' I asked.

'Because...' Nathan shrugged.

There was a silence.

'I didn't mean what I said earlier...' Nathan whispered.

I just carried on staring at the ground, wanting my fringe to fall into it's favourite place, wanting it to sheild my face from his sight.

'It just came out, I didn't know what else to say.' He sounded so awkward and I could tell he was finding this more embarressing than I was.

'I get it.' I stopped him, 'It's fine, it doesn't matter.' I looked up at him and that's when my fringe fell into my face. Ironic.

Nathan narrowed his eyes.

'I'm NOT a pushover so don't think that every argument we have I'll just forgive you this easily.' I glared at him.

He grinned, 'I know.'

We both jumped down from the wall and walked back over to Jenna who was sunabathing with Logan and Ty. I walked over and sat on the other side of Jenna and Nathan sat next to me.

'So you're back together again?' Ty sang.

'She was never 'with' him, if she was 'with' any of us, she'd be 'with' me.' Logan snapped.

'Shoooooot, dude, okay, chill. So, you're friends again?' Ty re-asked.

I laughed and Nathan answered with a simple, 'Yeah.'

'Simple as.' Ty sang again.

'I'm NOT a pushover though.' I snapped.

'She's NOT a pushover though.' Nathan agreed.
