Emma slept a bit early that night than she normally used to.
Around midnight, while she was in deep REM sleep, she had a strange dream again. This time, she was strolling through the streets of the city when she heard a familiar voice calling her name again and again.
Emma could not figure out who it was. She followed the sound which lead her to an old building.
She knew this building. It was an abandoned old age home, she had heard about from people in her school. The creepy sound seemed to generate from behind the building, from a corner of what seemed like the dirtiest backyard. As Emma got closer to it, the callings reduced to just someone murmuring.
She reached the rear of the abandoned building and followed the murmurs that were quickly fainting away.
Emma then found herself standing on a round metal plate which was covering a sewage tunnel below. That was the source of the sound.
She noticed someone standing behind her. Just as she turned around to look, her dream ended and it was dawn already. She woke up sweating and her heart racing, looking around in astonishment.
Something was not right.
