Emma yelled at the top of her lungs,
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME? HAVE YOU BEEN DRUGGING ME ALL THIS TIME?"Nate was calm. With a little smile on his lips, he spoke, "I will answer everything, Emma. You just have to promise to believe me."
Emma thought for a minute. Nate's voice was so different now. Like an adult. She nodded her head and said, "Start speaking. Where am I?"
"The tunnel in which you came through is a passage to– what you call– the afterlife. You never believed in one, did you?"
"I still don't."
"I know, I know. The crappy stories about the afterlife which people of your time discuss and preach is quite laughable. Those stories are nothing more than comics to us."
"Us?"
"My dear friend, look around you!"
It was like all this time Emma was standing there, she did not notice anything else except Nate. There were people everywhere. They were in some beautiful, futuristic society.
There were robots and technologies, with the mightiest of buildings around. There were flying cars and hover-boards floating above their heads. It was like a sci-fi movie.
Then she noticed the people. They didn't look normal. All of them had abnormally large eyes, a larger head, making them look like aliens from a Hollywood movie, but with human-like features. Just different.
They had skinny bodies and short hands and feet but long fingers. Even the sky was not normal. The sun looked like just a projection of light. It shone brightly, but she could not feel the heat that was supposed to radiate from a sun that bright.
Emma looked confusingly at Nate and asked, "Where am I?"
Nate smirked.
"We're just across the street where you lived about 60,000 years ago!"
