Jin's POV:
The guys go in their bedrooms and Claire finally comes out of the bathroom. The guys have agreed to not be out here while we're cooking, no matter what. This is the only chance that I have to be alone with her. She's in her pj's which she looks really cute in and she braids her wet hair into two braids. "Why braids?" "Keeps my hair in place while I cook." "That makes since." Which I don't have a problem with. "Ready to get started?" "Sure!" We go in the kitchen and I grab us aprons. I hand her one and we put them on. I quickly tie the back of mine but she's having struggle with hers. "Do you need help?" "Um. Yeah." I wrap my arms around her, look over her shoulder, and grab the two strings. She freezes up and I slowly tie the apron, not wanting to unwrap my arms. "Okay. Is that fine?" "Y-yeah." I unwrap my arms and take a step back from her, she's avoiding eye contact. I actually love that I'm taller than her, so that way her head can rest right between my chest and neck with her being 165 cm. Which just happens to be Jungkook's ideal height for a girl... I shake my head, don't think about the others Jin. Just think about her.
"So, are you ready to cook?" "Yep! What are we cooking?" "Now there's a chance that you have never cooked this before, we're making ramen, beef, and rice." "Sounds good, I've never made ramen the traditional way, but I have made beef and rice." "What do you mean?" "I usually just but a package of ramen that you heat up in the microwave. But I love real ramen more." I smile at her, grab her shoulders, and move her over to the counter. "I've had the meat marinate all day, so it's going to be really tasty. I need you to slice it up for cooking." "Sounds easy enough." "Do you need me to help you?" "Probably show me how to do it at first." I stay behind her and take the meat out of the bag and put it on the cutting board. "You're going to use this knife," I hold it out in front of her and she nods. "That's a big knife." "Just be careful." "I promise." She keeps her arms at her sides and I lean over her. I could be standing next to her and showing her this, but I like this a lot more. I start slicing the meat, "just like that." "Okay, got it." I let her hold the knife and position her hand the knife onto the meat. I keep my hands over hers and she starts slicing. I lean down a bit more, to where my head is sort of next to hers, "just like that." She slowly turns her head and looks at me.
Oh my god. My heart is beating really fast. "Hey, Jin," she says softly. "Yeah Claire," I reply softly. I slowly move my face closer to hers, I can feel her breath on my lips. "Fuck!," she yells. I jump at her yell and she's crying. "Claire, what's wrong!?" I back away from her and she drops the knife onto the floor causing me to jump back and her hands are shaking. I look at her hands and see that one is bleeding. "Shit Claire." "I think I kept cutting and got distracted without realizing it," she cries. "It's okay Claire, you're going to be okay." I guide her over to the sink and turn on the water. I hold her shaking arm and stick her hand under the water. She leans against me, still crying, and I gently rub my fingers over her large cut, watching the blood mix with the water. "I need to get something to clean this up and a bandage, just stay here and let the water run over it." She nods and I run to the bathroom. I quickly find what I need and run back to her, her arms still shaking. I turn off the water and grab a small towel and hold it against the cut. "I'm so sorry Jin," she cries. "It's fine Claire." As much I loved our moment earlier, it was stupid of me to create it while she was cutting meat.
I clean her cut and she hisses in pain, she tries to pull her hand away but I hold her wrist. "We're almost done." The blood finally stops and I'm able to wrap it in a bandage. "How's that?" "Better," she sniffs and wipes her tears with her free hands. "How about I slice the meat this time." "That's a better idea." I pick up the knife and quickly wash it off. I finish slicing the meat and set it aside. "What do I need to do?" "You can cut up the vegetables, this time with a smaller knife." She nods and I get the vegetables out for her and a new cutting board with a smaller knife. "You cut all of those, and I'll start the noodles and broth for the ramen." We do our individual jobs and I look over at her every once in a while. We just end up talking about different things and laugh. Turns out I have more in common with her than we knew before.
