BTS American Love Story *COMPLETED*

Part 17

RapMon's POV:

Claire walks into our dorm and we all run up to her, "what happened!?," we yell in unison. "Woe! Guys! Back up a bit!" We let her walk in and sets her stuff on the table. She kicks off her heels and stretches a bit. "How was the meeting?" "A bit stressful for me, I was so nervous. And manager didn't tell me what happened after they told me to leave. They told me I should walk around and see if I could find any of the bands so I could make more connections." "Did you find anyone?" She bites her lower lip and looks away from us. "Who did you meet Claire?," Suga asks. "I met GOT7, they were practicing in the dance studio and Jackson saw me outside and had me come in." So that explains Jackson's text... "RapMon, why didn't you tell me you were telling Jackson about me?" The guys look at me, "hey. Don't look at me like that. I just wanted Jackson to see who our new roommate is." "Manager also gave me a company phone, you have no idea what its been like for me not being able to use my phone over here. It's been off the entire time." Damn, didn't realize that. At least she has a phone now. 

"Well give us your number just in case," Tae speaks up. "Not a problem, here, put your numbers in." Tae takes her phone and we all take turns putting in our numbers. For some reason Mark also texted me asking for Claire's number. I wonder why. "Thanks, I'll quickly send a group text to you all so you can have mine." She sends us a group text and now I have her number. "Why did manager give you a phone?" "For work purposes mainly, he told me that you guys are going to be more busy now and I need to be able to keep up." Right.. Our schedule is about to start up again. "I actually have a copy of your guys' schedule, and damn you're busy." "Yeah.. It's getting to be that time again." "Manager told me I have to go back to JYP tomorrow, I don't know why though..." Something doesn't seem right. Why does JYP have interest in Claire?

*That Night*

I stare at my phone and let out a sigh, Mark still wants Claire's number. Why does he want it so badly? But he's my friend... I text him Claire's number and toss my phone to the side. We're getting busy now, which means less time with Claire. I wonder how the guys will be. And the fact that Jin had almost told Claire that he likes her. And from what I've seen, Claire has no idea that the guys like her.

*Next Day*

Claire's POV:

"Hello sir," I smile and hold out my hand. He smiles at me and shakes my hand. "Claire, nice to see you again. I heard you met GOT7 yesterday." "I did. They're very nice." "Well that's good, I expect that out of my boys. I would like to talk to you more about future plans." "Future plans?" "Well, I know you're a college student, what's your major?" "Elementary education." "Ah, a teacher. Takes a very special person to do that." "Someone has to do it, and I love working with kids." "That's good, we need more future teachers like you. Have you ever thought about doing something else?" "Not really, teaching has always been my main focus since high school." "Well, with how well you're doing with BigHit, don't you want to continue working in the entertainment industry?" "Well. Um. I mean.. I mean I like it but.." I just can't leave everything behind that I've worked so hard on.... I love being here and working for BigHit, but... "You look conflicted. I'm sorry for causing it." "It's fine sir." "Claire!," I hear someone yell. I look over and see Jackson running over to us. "I can't believe you're back. We're all here, do you want to hang out with us for a bit?" "Um, I'm-" "It's okay Claire, you can join the boys for a bit." "Perfect!," Jackson exclaims.

He grabs my hand and pulls me along. "I'm glad you're back Claire, we only got a few minutes yesterday and I wished you had stayed longer. How long can you stay today?" "Um, just for a while. I have work back at BigHit." "That's enough time!" He pulls me into the practice room and I see the guys. Mark quickly stands up and smiles at me first. Oh gosh... "Claire!," Bambam yells. "Look who I found in the halls again." "When we heard that you were coming back, we didn't know if it was true," JB tells me. "I can only stay for a while guys, I still have a job back at BigHit." "That's fine. That's enough time." "Here, sit. We want to show you our new routine." "A-are you sure you can show me!?" "Of course!" Mark grabs my hand and walks me over to a chair against a wall. I sit down and stare up at him, still wearing his smile. "Now watch closely, we want your opinion on it." "Since you told us how many of our routines you know, and that you helped J-Hope with a new routine, we really want your opinion on this," Jr speaks up. "Um. Okay. Show me."

They play the music and they start dancing, the entire time Mark would look at me with his smile when he got a chance. Oh gosh oh gosh... When they're done Mark runs over to me, "what do you think?" "I think it's great. The fans are going to love it." "So Claire, what exactly is your job at BigHit?" "I film and edit BTS's videos. But now manager is having me help out with the schedules and I have to go with them to their TV show appearances and film behind the scenes and other stuff." "You're getting busy now, aren't you." "Yeah. But it's my job so I have to follow it." "So Claire, I have an important question," Jackson crawls up to me and I stare at him with wide eyes. He laughs, "you don't need to be nervous. I was just wondering, do you have a boyfriend back home?" "Wh-why d-do yo-you want to know that!?" "Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you out. I was just curious. Wanting to know more about your home life. That's all." "Um. Okay. I-I don't have one." "You don't?" I shake my head. "Have you ever had one?" I shake my head no again. The guys go quiet and I get up from the chair, "I-I should leave." I start to walk away but Mark grabs my hand. 

"Please don't leave just yet Claire." "I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable Claire." "It's fine Jackson. I should just probably leave. It was nice seeing you guys again." Mark lets go of my hand and I run out, my heart beating fast and my breathing fast. Calm down Claire.... Please try to calm down... I lean against the wall, close my eyes, and takes deep breaths. Just remember what RapMon told you.. "Okay... Much better..." Why did Jackson have to ask me that.. The last guy who asked me that... I shake my head, don't think about it Claire..

Mark's POV:

I watch her through the small window, "why did you have to ask her that Jackson," I whisper. "What's going on?" "I don't know, but it looks like she's trying to calm herself down." "Shit." Jackson looks and Claire looks like she finally calmed down. She walks down the hall and I let out a sigh. Nam Joon finally gave me her number late last night and I plan on texting her later so we can set up a day for her to come back or we come to her. Either way, I want to see her again. I don't know why manager asked her back today, but I'm glad she did. "What are you planning Mark?" "It's nothing Jackson." "Oh really." "Are you seriously thinking of going after a girl who currently has 5 guys after her?" "I'm not." "Then what are you doing?" I let out a sigh, "fine. I'll tell you."

"What are you doing?," Youngjae asks me. "Aren't you going to sleep?" "I will in a bit." I'm currently texting Claire to see when she's free again. 

C: i have to see when i'm free again

M: do you have your schedule on you?

C: i do, hold on

C: i'm free later this week

M: that works for us

C: btw, how did you get my number?

M: Nam Joon, is there a problem?

C: no problem, just a surprise 

M: well I hope it's a good surprise

C: it was

I smile to myself at that.

M: good night Claire

C: good night Mark

I smile at the screen and plug my phone in to charge. BTS might get mad at me for this, but Claire is only here for summer, and they're wasting time. And if they don't hurry, someone might snatch her away.
