Part 31

Suga's POV:
I stare at the pictures of us, I crumble them up and throw them into the trash. I grab my hair and lean forward. How the fuck did this spread so fast? Claire is afraid to go outside now because of what happened at the show and at work. I hope she's not regretting of staying... I hear a knock, "come in!" "Yoon Gi." I slowly look up and see Mark. "What the hell are you doing here," I snap. "I came to talk to you." "About what. I know it was you who made Claire worse yesterday. I made sure that you didn't come near here before and during the show." "I know, you had security tight. But you should have been tight on something else." "What are you talking about?" "I'm talking about your relationship Yoon Gi. I saw the pictures of you two at the airport the day they were posted. It had spread like wild fire." "Then how the fuck were you able to keep your date a secret!?" "I did my research before the date. I also had security. I had it to where it wasn't obvious, so that Claire wouldn't see it. But if a fan tried to do something, security was there to stop it." 

I stare at him in shock, "you went that far!?" "I wanted to keep her safe. And that's exactly what I did." He crosses his arms in front of his chest and glares at me. "Why are you glaring at me?" "Because you're not keeping her safe. If she had never found out, we would still be dating." "That's not my problem. That's yours. And why are you even here in the first place." "I tried to tell Claire this, but I think someone is out to get her." "What are you talking about?" "Think about it, the second my company showed interest in her, and we start dating, nothing went wrong. There was no press on us. But the second you two start dating, and she no longer comes to our company, the news spreads like wild fire." "Are you saying, that someone in your company secretly wanted Claire to work in your company?" "That's what it seems like. It's like someone isn't happy that Claire decided to stick with BigHit. And they probably thought with us dating, that she eventually would switch. Think of all the meetings she had to go to." Now that I think about it... She had to do a lot of meetings over there.. "I'm trying to find out who it is, so I can stop it." "Um.. Thanks.." 

"Um.. Yoon Gi. I also want to know.. How is she?" "Well, before the stuff that happened, our relationship was going great. She was smiling again." "That's... That's great to hear..." He starts to walk out, "hey. Mark." "Yeah?" "....Thanks for being there for Claire when you two were dating. You helped her grow more. I never actually thanked you for that. You were the reason why she was smiling and was just more positive." He smiles and looks down. "I do miss her Yoon Gi. I keep hoping she comes back to me, but I know she won't." "Why?" "Because she has you now. It was always you." He walks out and I sit back down. "I can't believe this...," I whisper.

"But manager!," I hear Claire say in the office. "I'm sorry Claire, but you have to." Manager walks out and he stops when he see's me. "What are you making her do?" "I got a call from JYP that they want to have a meeting with her. I know she doesn't want to go because of Mark. But at the moment, she doesn't have a choice." JYP called for Claire to have a meeting. Mark was right. Someone is trying to get Claire to switch companies. Claire walks out and I stop her. "Claire." She looks up at me and she hugs herself. "I don't want to go there Suga, but I have to." I hug her tightly and she rests her face on my chest. "It's going to be okay Claire You're only going for a meeting. Nothing else. Call me if you need me." "Thanks Suga..."

Mark's POV:

I watch her from a distance, for some reason she's here today and I don't know why. "What are you staring at?," JB asks. "Sh. Claire's here." JB looks too. "I wonder why." She's walking with a guy, who is he? I've never really seen him before. JB and I duck away and listen. "Well thank you for coming today, it's nice to hear what you've been doing over there." "It's not a problem. But why did you specifically call for me?" "I just noticed how the videos views have been for the guys, and I knew it had to deal with their newest employee. So I wanted to hear it from herself. So that way we can improve in our company." "Well, thank you sir. I should leave now." "No no, please stay longer. I insist. Lunch is on me." "Um. Thank you." I hear them walk off and I look back. "Who was that?" "I don't know..." I move but JB grabs my shirt. "Don't." "I know someone is after Claire. I have to see what's going on." JB lets go and I quietly follow them. They go into a room and I reach the door but I hear the door lock. Shit. If this is a private business lunch, I can't bother them.

"Mark?" I look up and see the guy from earlier. I decided to go off and do some practice. "Yes?" "Can you come with me?" "Sure." I get up and walk with him. "Tell me, do you know of the girl that's here today?" "Um, why do you ask?" "Just wondering, since I saw you spying on us earlier," he smiles at me and I look away. "She's an old friend." We keep walking and we reach the room they went into earlier. "What are we doing?" He opens the door and gestures for me to go in. I walk in and I hear the door close and lock. "What's going on?" "I really hate doing this, but you left me with no other choice." He snaps his fingers and I see three more guys get out from under the table. "What the hell is going on!? Where's Claire!?" "We had a perfect plan Mark. For that girl to join our company to help us raise our popularity. And when you two started dating, we thought that would bring her in. But then you two broke up. I made sure your relationship stayed a secret." "Y-Your the one who's spreading about her relationship with Min Yoon Gi!!" He nods, "who are you!?" "I run certain parts of this company that you do not know about. Not everyone knows about me." "Where's Claire!?" He points to the closet and I run over to it. I open it and see Claire passed out on the floor. 

"CLAIRE!" I kneel down and sit her up, "Claire. Claire please wake up." "I drugged her, she won't be waking up soon." "Why would you do this to her!?" "Because I'm going to force you to convince her to join our company and end her relationship with Min Yoon Gi." "I won't do that to her. Plus, she.." "Hates you. I know. But that's why I'm going to make sure that you can convince her." "Wh-what do you mean?" "You've won her over once, you can do it again." "What did you really do to her!" "Let's just say I'm great at hypnotizing people." I stare down at her and hold her in my arms. "Claire..." "There's a reason I can get people to work here and do the things that I want Mark. I'm the one who really runs this company. So, when she wakes up, you'll be by her side. She'll have her memories of you, but it's up to you to finish the hypnotizing part." "What do you mean?" "You have to kiss her. And her memory will go blank of what happened." "I won't do that to her." "If you don't do it, I'll continue spreading things of her and Min Yoon Gi. I'll make sure the hate gets stronger." "Why do you want her so badly!?" He leans down, "admit it Mark. You want her back. This your chance. Take it. And everything will be fine. If you don't, you'll regret it." He kicks me in the closet more, slams the door, and I hear it lock. 

"Let me out!!" "Choose wisely Mark!!" I feel around and find the light switch. "Claire.." I lay her down and I sit by her. I pull out my phone and call Min Yoon Gi. "What's going on?," he says when he picks up. "Min Yoon Gi... I need your help.." "What's going on?" "I found the guy... And.." "Say it. Where's Claire?" "We're locked in a closet, she's been drugged, and the guy behind all of this is forcing me to do something." "What is he forcing you to do!?" "Long story short, I get her to come back to me and switch companies, or he continues spreading hate about you two." "You can't do that!!" "I don't want to do that either!! I'm trying to think of the safest option for her!" "I'm coming to get her!" "D-Don't!" "What do you mean!?" "I think this guy wants you to." "I don't care! She's my girlfriend and I'm going to protect her!" He hangs up, shit shit shit! She slightly groans and I watch her. She starts to open her eyes and groans more. "Where am I...," she mumbles. She looks around and finally see's me. "M-Mark." "You don't need to be afraid of me." "What's going on?" "Just please don't be afraid of me... I want to protect you..." She slowly sits up and holds her head. "What happened..." "Claire.. I.." As much I want Claire back, this is not the way to do it. "I'm going to protect you. I promise." "What are you talking about?" She leans forward and I catch her. "All you need to know is, that you're safe."
