"Are you sure you don't want to come with us?"
Aria rolled her eyes unpacking her things into her old bedroom. Many memories had taken place in this room and it was strange to come back to the same place but as a different person.
"I've told you. I've got work today."
"On New Years Eve? That's ridiculous." The girl nearly burst out into laughter but she didn't want to offend her mother especially when she was stopping back here for no price at all.
"Mom, if somebody is interested in my writing I would go and meet them on my wedding day for all I care."
Her mother began to help her pack her last few things away. "Is that what you're wearing?"
Quickly looking down at her clothes the female became slightly uncomfortable and headed for the mirror.
"Is this not good enough?"
"Well if you're meeting a person who could change your life forever then I guess I would have tried a little more."
Aria headed to her wardrobe and began to search through dresses that she used to wear, most of them you'd have to be a mental hospital patient to step out the door in. Picking out a red dress and heels to match the lipstick she planned on wearing the girl placed her clothes out on her bed proceeding to get ready. This was one of the biggest days of her life and she didn't care if she was early.
"Here we go."Hanna headed down the streets of Rosewood taking in the sunshine, it was unusual for the weather to be so great at this time of the year. Turning the corner to her office she saw a man leaning against the wall. The same man she had saw there for the past two years, every day always in the same place.
"Good morning." The man smiled slightly and Hanna just nodded making her way inside of the building, her cheeks beginning to burn.
"Hanna, you're late."
The girl peered down to her phone, 8:31am.
"By one minute."
"Exactly."
The girl rolled her eyes and made her way to her desk trying not to blow her brains out. Minutes passed and finally she walked up to her manager.
"Why am I in here today?" Hanna asked without even knocking on the door, there was need for small talk she just wanted straight answers.
"Because you work here. It's your job."
"Well it's New Years and everybody else has been let-"
"Hanna get over yourself and stop being a problem. It's just another day. Go work."
The girls face immediately turned red.
"I'm sorry. I'll stop being a problem." The girl said in a calm voice heading quickly to her desk, her boss following behind. This behaviour was rarely seen from an employee so it was necessary to watch.
"Screw you and screw your job. I'm not your problem anymore!"
