Alison headed back into the town of Rosewood not fully knowing what to expect. Her high school years had been strange because they didn't set her up for real life at all. In high school she was able to walk through those corridors knowing who had her back and that whatever she did nobody would dare miss with her. The real world was not like that at all. It was strange seeing her old house with a new family in it, a whole load of things had changed in this town but one thing hadn't. She new Emily Fields still lived here. Throughout her high school years Emily was the only one who was not there for popularity but out of the kindness of her heart. With the passed years Alison finally understood how to cherish a true friend and wanted to return to express how much Emily meant to her. And maybe she meant even more than a friend. Ever since she left all she could think about in her mind was returning and what would happen when she saw the girl but without any communication Emily could have moved on by now. She should have moved on. In the last few weeks of school the tables turned and Alison through her best friend away from her just so she could look like a higher person. Maybe at the end of this year she could win back the person that she believes now she cannot live without. However, before they left they promised that on the first New Year's they were far away from each other they would come back to Rosewood to watch the new year in. She could have forgotten, she probably had but Alison never could.
Spencer hurried through the house taking and bringing boxes from place to place. Having to help a family member is always a burden but when it comes to holding the biggest party in Rosewood - that's quite a large weight on your shoulders.
"Is Toby coming?"
"Of course he's coming mom."
Spencer had began to hang decorations round the walls of Rosewood High. It was surprising that the best venue the town had to offer was the sports hall of the high school.
"I'm glad, he's such a nice boy."
Spencer rolled her eyes feeling slightly embarrassed but her mother's words were true. Toby was nice. Toby was everything that Spencer had ever imagined of a man.
"He's leaving tomorrow as well anyway so it's my last chance to see him."
"Where's he going?"
"I don't know really, something to do with his uncle. He doesn't really open up about family matters." And Spencer didn't want to pry either. Toby could keep his secrets and she could keep hers that didn't make them any further apart, it strengthened what they had if anything.
"Well I know one thing." Spencer said heading over towards her mother with a smile plastered on her lips.
"What's that then?"
"Tonight's going to be a night to remember."
