Two explosions sounded from the distance. Icewing and Pebblefoot jumped at both of them. "Two cats dead. I wonder who." Icewing meowed. "I don't know. I hope it's not Graymist or Grasspelt." Pebblefoot replied. Icewing nodded remembering their fellow clanmates as they headed up the slope. It was almost dusk and the sky was a deep crimson. Icewing and Pebblefoot had grabbed a fish and some marigold from the Cornucopia, then bolted for the slope of a mountain. They slope was rocky and hard to climb, making them relatively safe from any attacks because none of the tributes had tried to climb the slope. The Windclan team headed for a valley after leaving the Cornucopia. Pebblefoot perked his ears toward a noise, rushing water. Both cats became excited and climbed faster.

When they reached the top, they saw a valley. There was a forest, almost like Thunderclan's territory, and there was a river that sliced through the valley. The cats exchanged happy glances then ran towards the glittering stream. On the way there, they ate their fish, then continued trekking. Once they reached the river, it was night. The stars were dim and the moon was a sliver, making it darker than usual. Then Tigerstar appeared in the sky. "Here are the fallen tributes." Tigerstar announced then he disappeared. Spiderleg and Graymist replaced him in the sky. Icewing shed a few tears and Pebblefoot sighed. "We should have asked them to come with us." Icewing meowed regretfully. "Don't let it hurt you too much. Just think, Spiderleg and Graymist are in a better place now with endless hunting." Pebblefoot meowed. Icewing nodded then turned to the river. She gazed into the water and saw fish swimming around. "Pebblefoot there's fish in this river!" Icewing meowed excitedly. Pebblefoot padded to her side and peered into the water. "That's great!" he purred, "If we stay in this valley, we won't need anything from the feast. We might actually win!" Icewing padded over to a large bush. "This would make a great den." she meowed and peaked inside. Pebblefoot  crawled under the bush and curled up into a tight ball. Icewing did the same and they both fell asleep, but not before hearing another explosion.
