Icewing jumped back in surprise at the sound of the two explosions. She turned to Pebblefoot, who seemed to be as surprised as her. "I wonder who that was." he meowed. Icewing shook her head, "This is crazy. I wonder how many more cats' lives will be taken from these games." Pebblefoot nodded and padded over to the river to fish. He stood next to the water, as still as a rock, then in a heartbeat there was a fish next to him. He bit the wriggling body until it went limp and carried it over to Icewing for them to share.

Icewing licked her lips after she had finished her half. Pebblefoot buried the remains and sat down in front of the den. The stars faded above them and the fallen tributes were shown. They looked up to see Starlingwing and Dovewing. Icewing and Pebblefoot exchanged worried glances. "One of the three is dead!" Icewing squealed. Pebblefoot looked solemnly in the distance. "I wonder if the Darkforest has captured her spirit yet." he meowed.

When the Darkforest won, Starclan had been raided by the Darkforest. They took the Starclan cats and trapped them in the Darkforest in some type of spirit cage. A few Starclan cats escaped and now roam Starclan, which is more like a wasteland, hiding from the occasional patrol of Darkforest cats that wander through.

Wait, if Starlingwing is dead, then either me or Pebblefoot has to die for the games to end. Icewing thought. It has to be me. Rosepetal can take care of Pricklekit. They'll be alright. The clan needs Pebblefoot, not me. Icewing sighed and padded over to Pebblefoot. "Look Pebblefoot. You're getting out of here. The clan needs you." Icewing meowed. Shock filled his gaze. "No you can't. You don't hav-" Icewing shook her head, "No. I've done some bad things. I helped the Darkforest and now I need to make up for that. This is the only way." Pebblefoot nodded glumly. "First I want to say goodbye to the other tributes though. I think they are over that mountain." Icewing beckoned to a mountain pass that they could easily get to in a day. "Let's go, and thank you for my last fish. It was great." Icewing purred. Pebblefoot followed her, holding back tears. I'll make this up to her, somehow.
