Nichola's New House

"Now everytime I see you
I pretend I'm fine
When I wanna reach out to you
But I turn and I walk and I let it ride
Baby I must confess
We were bigger than anything
Remember us at our best"--Mariah Carey

Nicholas POV:

Walking into my house with bags full of groceries, I noticed that Angie was still sleep on the couch. I didn't want to wake her up so I tried to be as quiet as possible. Going into the kitchen, I see a note from Simone.

Note From Simone:

Hey baby, the kids and I are out with momma today. I did the laundry and the clothes are folded up, you just need to put them away. Be back around 10:30... Hopefully. Love you lots. XOXO.

As y'all all know, Simone and I are back together and I don't plan on losing her again. That's when Angie woke up.

"GoodMorning Nick." Angie said, holding her head.

"GoodMorning, how did you sleep?" I asked her.

"It was ok. Could've been better." She said, not sounding happy about it.

"That doesn't sound good. What was wrong with your dream?" I asked, curious.

"It's not about what was wrong with the dream, it's about who was in it and why." She said, looking at me, correcting me.

"Well who was in your dream?" I asked, putting the rest of the groceries away where they belong.

"You were.." She said as she paused, then continued,"I miss us Nicholas. Don't you ?"

"Angie, every time you see me, are you always gonna bring this up?" I asked, tired of her bringing this up.

"Yes, I am Nicholas. I will. And I'll keep bringing it up until you finally realize that we were meant to be." Angie said.

"Listen, I know you're emotional and sh*t like that. But I don't want to discuss this sh*t. When I tried, you didn't listen and moved on. So to answer your question, no I don't miss us." I told her straight up.

"Is it because of that girl?" Angie asked, angry.

"What girl?" I asked, confused.

"Simone. Your girlfriend." Angie rolled her eyes.

"Not is it just about her but Angie, I don't want you anymore. I moved on just like you moved on. There's no us anymore ! I'm just here to help you with your problems and that's it." I said, trying to end the conversation.

"With my problems?!? Nicholas! I wouldn't be having these problems if they weren't for you ! My daughter would have still been alive if it wasn't for you! I could've been happy if you never left me! So since they "my" problems, help me solve them !" Angie yelled.

"Because of me Angie?! I protected you from the n*gga that was about to murder you! I didn't know your daughter was there ! I didn't see sh*t until it happened! You think I meant to do that sh*t!?!? She was like a daughter to me when her real father wasn't around !!! I never left you Angie! You left me for a n*gga that didn't give two f**ks about you ! So shut the f**k up with that bullsh*t!" I yelled back, fed up.

"But baby if you could j—" Angie said before being cut off by Simone.

"Baby?" Simone asked, dropping her keys on the table, "somebody wants to tell me what the f**k is going on ?!?"
