Luke had nervously asked to come over to Ashton's that Wednesday afternoon. He normally didn't come over on those days but it had been eating him alive for three days at work. He didn't bother changing out of his suit and was on his way to the Loving side.

He was so scared. He was officially going to tell Ashton that he liked him. It was terrifying for the Knowing and he was so scared on how he'd react. Luke knew the little information that Michael had told him and he had no idea if it was actually true.

Luke knocked on Ashton's door nervously and waited for the familiar curly-haired lad to show up. He didn't have to wait long because soon Ashton was standing at the door and Luke felt as if he was going to pass out.

"Luke, what are you doing here?" Ashton asked, before pressing his lips to the blonde's softly. He wasn't expecting Luke to show up.

"I need to talk to you," Luke said, following the boy inside his apartment.

Ashton went and sat down on the couch and Luke followed his lead. He nervously played with his fingers as he waited for Ashton to start the conversation. They awkwardly sat in silence for maybe five minutes before Ashton spoke up. It was so awkward he hated it. Luke was here to tell him something and he wasn't talking.

"Why are you here? Not that I mind but I want to know," Ashton said, watching the blonde boy silently have a mental break down.

"I have to tell you something but you have to promise not to tell leave me," Luke said nervously.

Ashton's mind automatically moved to every horrible thing that could happen. Luke could be sick. Luke could've cheated. Luke could be canceling their deal.

"What's wrong?" Ashton asked, his hands resting on Luke's softly. He didn't want him to feel uncomfortable.

"Ashton. This is so hard for me to say. So so hard. And I feel like I'm going to throw up and pass out but it's going to be such a relief to say this. You've changed my views on so many things and you've changed me in a good way. I don't want this to ruin anything," Luke said softly.

"Go on," Ashton said, still confused on where Luke was going to say.

"I like you Ashton. So much. I don't know what changed in me but I like you so much," Luke said truthfully. He had no idea what was going to happen now.

What happened was not good.

Ashton immediately ripped his hands away and got off the couch, getting further away from Luke. He went to the opposite side of the coffee table and looked at Luke who was looking up at him.

"No you don't," Ashton said quickly.

"Yes I do. I know my feelings."

"You can't. You're a Knowing. Knowings don't know what it's like to feel love. You don't know what liking someone is. I'm sorry Luke but I refuse to believe that."

Luke stood gaping at Ashton. He couldn't believe the hopeless romantic didn't believe him. He quickly stood up from the couch and started going to the door.

"You're an asshole. I can't believe I told you something that would get me kicked out of my community but obviously I'm lying. Fuck you Ashton," Luke said quickly, storming out and closing the door behind him.

Ashton realized how badly he had messed up once Luke had left. He looked at the unfinished painting in the corner of the room, it was of him and Luke, and decided to just leave it for tomorrow. He just decided to leave it for tomorrow and crawled into bed, trying to sleep off what had just happened.

Luke, on the other hand, had done the same thing. He took off his suit and crawled into bed. He wished he had never met Ashton. Ashton made him question everything. Ashton made him cry for the first time in his life.
