Chapter 6 : The Colour

Setting a cup of freshly brewed Earl Grey and a piece of white macadamia cake on the tea table, I took a seat facing brunette best friend of mine. Renge however has her eyes glued to the sole sadistic raven-head senpai in the room.

"Now would you like to tell me just why you are 5963 miles away from home?" finally averting her attention to me, I can see that hearts were shooting out from her orbs.

"Simple. I am in LOVE!!!" though most people would be surprised whenever their best friend suddenly announced that they are in love but the thing is with our friendship here... well... the only thing I can say is that something like this is a bit expected coming out of Renge.

"Utau. You didn't seem even a bit fazed by that." I turned to look at Haruhi in which I gave out a sigh first before answering.

"This is normal behaviour for Renge. She is just not the type to run things down her brain before doing practically anything. And in the end, this will all end up being a huge mess. I just lost count on how many times I have faced this kind of situation. " Renge being completely oblivious towards the conversation between me and Haruhi just kept drooling over the sadistic spectacled raven head in the room who apparently looked completely relaxed despite Renge just announced that he and Renge are fiancés.

"Since club time is over, I think it would be wise if we take our leave right now." grabbing both Renge's bag and mine I literally dragged Renge by her arm towards the twin doors. Despite her struggling to get away, she is still considered to be quite powerless compared to me.

"Now spill. What the hell had actually happened? You are the type that does things irrationally but flying all the way from Paris to Japan just to see the guy that have the same face as the character in Uki Doki Memorial cannot possibly be the reason why." We were walking back to my house then and Renge could never stop whining about the fact that why did we have to walk rather than riding a car to go home.

But as always, I managed to brush that issue off and once I was finished with my question, the only thing visible on her face is simply a frown.

"Let me guess. Its about Ryosuke again is it not?"

"Don't ever say that liar's name in front of my face ever. He did something that I can never forgive."

"Renge. The last time you said that, it was only because Ryosuke had forgotten to tell you that he need to go to US for an urgent meeting. He only forgotten to reach out to you for half of the day because he was too busy. Now tell me Renge, what had Ryousuke had done this time?" moments passed by filled with silence as Renge zipped her mouth down not wanting to answer my question and I on the other hand was waiting for her answer.

Knowing Renge too well, she is not going to back down on this one this time. Which means that I have no other way than just backing out of it.

"Fine. But you need to give me some kind of explanation once things have piped down. Do I make myself clear?" the girl just enveloped me into a bear hug which I just let her. After all, she is my best friend.

Things had gotten quite crazy lately after Renge enrolled. Not that I am bothered a bit by it. Primarily because whatever she has in plan does not involve me in it, I am perfectly fine. Though as for the boys and Haruhi... I guess I can only offer my condolences to them.
