"Honestly, a bug like you shouldn't even be in the same space as us."
"Get out of our sight you four-eyes!"
Utau who was in a cubicle in that moment can't help but sigh. And here she thought the young ladies of the higher class families have some sort of morals within themselves. Turns out they are no different from the stupid bullies out there.
Picking on the weaker ones just to make themselves feel superior than the rest. Such mentality should have perished from the face of the earth thousands of years ago.
Slowly she unlocked the door to the cubicle and walked towards the sink. Knowing full well that a few pair of eyes were on her, stunned to see her there. She ignored them, washing her hands like the other girls were not there in the first place.
Taking her reaction as a sign of Utau could not care less, the 4 blondies resumed their idiotic activity.
"Well, well, well. Who would have known that the Washio oujo-san, Kinoshita oujou-san, Nakanishi-oujou-san and nonetheless Matsui oujou-san who all came from respectable families are all big on bullying others. It seems that I held you four in high regards. I was dumb to do so apparently."
"Someone who is not involved in our matters should not meddle in our business." One of the blondes said with her eyes shooting daggers to the raven head who does not even seem slightly bothered by that.
"Meh. You are right. It is none of my business. But I have been known not to be able to keep out of other people's business. It's annoying but it's part of me."
"Just because you are part of the host club doesn't mean that you can do all you want you know." Another blonde with brown orbs growled.
"I'm not doing this because I'm friends with those idiots but because I can."
"And what makes you think that?" Utau smirked. These girls were so damn wrong for thinking they could actually win a fight against her. They are so way wrong in so many ways. Sometimes, these young ladies can be such idiots even when they had been drilled so many lessons since their birth?
"You know how many shares that our family holds over your respective companies ladies?" the four blondes froze in surprise.
"I may not have much jurisdiction over the Sakazaki power yet but I am still one of the major shareholders in the company. My opinion matters and will still be taken into account if I brought things to the board members. Basically one day you'll see just how much your fortune would perish within seconds after I made a single phone call." She smirked over the silence that loomed over the four girls who were considering their options. "You all should know that being in a school like Ouran is either going to make or break your family."
With her arms crossed, she walked over to the girl that had been forced into a corner just now and helped her up on her two feet. After giving the scared girl a reassuring smile, Utau turned to the four blondes. "My advice to you is... you don't opt for the latter ladies."
"A-ano. T-thank you. For what you did just now." She stuttered as she accepted the can of juice from Utau.
"Don't make a big deal out of that. Plus, I can't actually leave you like that. That would be cowardice. And not to mention, stupid." She smiled as she sat next to the girl.
"I can't stand up for myself since I was too much of a coward in the first place. And I didn't come from a prestigious family like they did. So it was expected to be treated like that."
"Oh wait. You're a scholarship student then? That's awesome!" the girl looked surprised. "R-really?" Utau nodded. "Of course! A friend of mine is a scholarship student and their grades are off the charts! Scholarship students are honestly amazing!"
"T-thank you. I'm Takebe Amai."
"Nice to meet you Takebe-san. I'm-"
"Sakazaki Utau. I don't think there is anyone in the school that doesn't know your name to be frank." The pianist laughed. "Of course you'd know me. For someone who had just came here I made quite a scene for the past few months didn't I?"
From getting into stupid fights with the host club to the huge scene that was caused by Renge and also the problem that arises from Ryusuke. And not to mention the ruckus that arose from that suicide attempt that was made on her life.
Thinking about all of the things that she had encountered so far in 6 months in Ouran just made Utau wanting to bang her head to the wall. Is she a trouble magnet or what? Utau deadpanned.
"Utau-san?"
"Ah sorry. I was lost in my own thoughts just now."
Looking over to Takebe Amai, Utau can't help but notice the small pendant hanging on the girl's neck that was encrusted with a small red ruby and when it was flipped by the wind, there were letters engraved onto it. A was the only letter than she can make out before Amai's brown locks obscured it from sight.
"That's a pretty necklace."
Amai looked alarmed by that remark. "Oh. It's nothing. It was just an old thing that was passed down in my family."
Utau nodded. "I could have swear that I've seen it somewhere. But then again I don't really have the best of memories." Utau laughed as she looked over to the other girl that was a bit shaking. Reaching out for her hand, she asked "Hey, are you okay?"
But Amai snapped Utau's hand off her which surprised the pianist. The young Sakazaki really had no idea what to say considering the awkward tension that filled the area. "Um... so you know... I'm sorry for being so inconsiderate."
"No. It's okay. It's just I'm not really used to people touching me. Anyway! But don't you have somewhere else to be right now?" Takebe Amai hastily added and though Utau knew something was definitely up but she was not about to dig any deeper considering the tension.
"Oh shoot! The host club! You're right! Sorry Takebe-san I need to go now. See you around!" walking away from the scene Utau never noticed on the intense look that Takebe Amai was throwing in her direction.
"You're late!" Kaoru voiced up.
"What were you up to?" his twin brother piped up.
"I believe the perfect answer to that would be... what is that word I'm looking for? Haruhi? Help me here." Utau looked over to the cross-dressing girl that was across the room, fussing with her costume for the day. "None of your business?" Utau snapped her fingers in approval.
"Yup. That's the magic words I've been looking for. "
"You're no fun!" the twins chorused and booed the young pianist in which she disregarded as always. "Tell me that when I actually care about what you idiots think." with the twins still booing her, she walked over to her usual spot. Making sure that her seat is the way she likes it and tested a few keys just in case. It was perfect.
"We'll be open for business in a few minutes. I suggest all of you take your respective places." The young Ootori called as he threw a small smile to Utau and though there were no remarks exchanged between the two of them, it was enough.
"Hoho." The twins laughed.
"What's this?"
"No squabbling as usual?"
"You two are more fun when you two were quarrelling with each other." Again the two were booed by the twins.
"Now. Now. Kids. Don't bother the two hearts are beating as one." Honestly none of the things that the blonde host ever make sense. Ever.
"Utau-chan! Utau-chan! Look! Look! Look at these new cakes!" Honey pushed a tray of cakes in Utau's direction while Mori as usual hosted him up as he always does.
"5 minutes more!" Haruhi hollered.
This is her everyday life now. With Renge and Ryu coming through those huge doors in the next 10 minutes. Hectic as always but it's good. Everything is good.
She can't ask for more. This is as normal as it's gonna get and she is contented enough with it. It is the most that she had in years and hopefully that would not get taken away from her so soon. Hopefully.
