"They are back aren't they?" Renge asked soon after Haruhi excused herself to prepare for whatever kind of monstrosity that the blonde senpai has in store for the day. Utau who still has her eyes studying the music notes chose to ignore Renge's question even with her best friend's eyes glued to her waiting for some kind of reply from the pianist.

"Utau!"

"We're in the library Renge. Keep your voice down before either one of us is going to get kicked out by the librarian."

"Who the hell are you trying to kid now Sakazaki you bumbling idiotic baffoon?" she was already shouting then. The libraries of Ouran have never been quiet in its entire establishment. Heck, there was even a choir band practicing in that freaking space. The word quiet is not even close to being able to describe what the libraries at Ouran really are.

"Wow. Never knew that you were so well-verse in cursing and sass. In all of honesty I like this side of you a lot better. Sassier and a bit bitchy than the one I remembered in the past. I like this new Renge. What happened to you throughout the 4 years in Paris anyway?"

"Well, I got a new tutor and-" Renge paused once she realised the route that she was about to take then. "-and you are trying to divert the original conversation elsewhere. And you knew that it would certainly work simply because I am a blabber-mouth."

"Your words, not mine."

"Utau..."

"Renge..." the girl with the lustrous dark honey sighed in despair as her best friend is doing everything with her whit to get out of the question that she had been asked. Utau can be so impossible at time especially during times that she refuse to give answers that are deemed as something that shows how weak she is.

"Utau. You can't keep out things from people who terribly cares about you forever. It is not fair to both you and the others. That is not how things work. Even if you refuse to let your guard down from any other, just please let those walls crumble for me." Renge paused as she searched for her friend's eyes. The next sentences came out in a whisper. " Please. Even if it is just for this once."

Honey eyes stared right into the black orbs, searching and even begging for her friend to give at least some hint of explanation from the one that she wanted answers the most. The honey eyes were winning, even the dumbest of people could see that as clear as daylight. And Utau knew that very well it is one of those fights that she does not have enough resolve to win. She was about to lose. Very, very soon. Thus there is only one thing that she knew she should do.

"Oh wow, look at the time. I need to go to the host club and do my freaking job before one of those freaks storms in here and drag me there and embarrass me in front of the whole school and draws the attention that we both know that I despise more than anything." her things were already packed and she is only a few steps away from getting out of that place.

Again, Utau Sakazaki is doing something that she knows best other than playing the piano itself. Running away.

Renge groaned in despair as Utau made her way out of that place.

"That girl is soon going to be the death of me. Great god, help me." and luckily god has its ways to answer to Renge's prayers once her cell phone rings. The caller's id for once in a lifetime is giving her all the solution she needed rather than the mess and stress she always have.

The one on the other line does not even have the chance to finish his sentence when Renge cut him off.

"Get your ass here right this instant or it will be the one thing that you will regret for the rest of your darling little life." with that the call ended. Without the other one having a say regarding the matter.

"Now let's just hope that useless bastard gets here in no time or there will be more damages than what has already been done." and for the sake of everybody, it is better for the boy to do as Renge said. After all, he is the one person in the whole wide world that Utau can never, for the sake of her life... just absolutely cannot...

Stand.

And he is the only one that could solve this mess.

Usually having her fingers pressing onto the beautiful keys of the grand piano in Music Room 3 would definitely make her calm herself down for once but this time. Just this time. There is almost nothing that can do to cure her from her foul mood. Even there are a few notes that were off keyed. She should be able to lost herself in the music, dwell in that serene and peaceful safe haven that she often use to keep herself; her mind occupied.

Well, it is nothing close to be working right now. She is going off-keyed, missing some important notes and the song is nothing close to what it is supposed to sound. Honestly, her sister would absolutely scorn her if she heard the hell that Utau is playing right now.

"I believe that it might be best for us all if you have taken the liberty to stop whatever it is you are doing, Miss Sakazaki." A voice that is all too familiar to her ears. Familiar yet painfully irritating to no end.

"If you say so then." Utau rose from her designated seat and was about to make her exit but the vice president of that crazy host club is not going to let her off the hook that easy.

"You are being quiet obedient today are you not?"

"Pretty sure that is something that you should be thankful off. Usually one would kill for me to stop my back talk."

"I would not deny that I do wish for you to stop with your sass at times but apparently this is not one of those times."

"Really?" Utau asked as she tilted her head to the side, looking sassy and cynical as always. "And since when do you even care about my emotions and whatever it is that I am facing?"

"I know and care more than you ever think I do." those words were only muttered but it doesn't take a person with great hearing to catch those words. Utau heard that word by word clearly. And that clearly left her flabbergasted.

"You have no idea what you are running your mouth about Master Ootori and I do beg you to not intrude to where you don't belong. Don't even try to probe into my own matter. Especially when you know nothing about me." rage is the only thing that is clearly evident in Utau's orbs and though that usually has an specific effect onto others, the young master of the Ootori did not even wince at the glare that was solely dedicated to him.

"You out of all people should know that such of a look would never work in me. Deep inside your heart you know that would never work on me. I know people Utau." Surprised might be quite an understatement of how much even by having her name being said by the man that she despised so much could tug at her heart so much as it is right now.

"And most importantly I know you."

Those eyes. Those sharp eyes that looked at her with much confidence and faith tugged at her heartstrings like it had been back in her early youth. Something at the back of her head. Memory. Memories to be precise. A whole lot of them that she thought had been kept hidden forever for the sake of her own insanity have begun to resurface. Bits and pieces.

And Utau hates every part of it.

Images of the past are beginning to resurface and from what Utau had encountered so far, dwelling with her past has brought nothing rather than misery and pain. Pushing it all down was the one that helped with all of that pain that maybe doing the same this time might just have the same effect it had just like back then.

"You need to stop pushing them down. That never works. And there is no way anything is going to get better by doing that."

"You know nothing." With that she stormed off out of the club room without even sparing a glance or a remark to any of the hosts or Haruhi or even Renge that instantly ran after her once the French girl noticed the expression latched on her face.

Kyoka sighed as he see the young girl walked away; running away from her troubles and past once again.

"I know everything there is needed to be known Utau. If only you would stop pushing them away."
