"Kyo-chan! Wait! Kyo-chan!" the little girl shouted in desperation at the boy that kept his pace faster than hers. Young Utau Sakazaki was almost out of breath chasing after her playmate in a game of tag. The young boy finally turned around and saw that Utau was already panting and gasping for air and he decided that it might be best if the game ends now.
He ran back to Utau's side, trying to make sure that she is okay not realising that the girl was already smirking in pleasure at the sight that he was making his way to her. The second he was a foot away from her, she tagged him before breaking into another run. "Tag. You're it again Kyo-chan!" she said as she ran towards the flower garden that is filled with multiple species of flowers though bare from roses due to the young girl's allergies to the flower, in an attempt to seek refugee from her sister.
The boy chuckled at the girl's childish antics which he was too gullible to fall into before he too broke into a run chasing the girl, continuing their game of tag once again. Whenever the boy got close enough to touch her skirt, she immediately shrieked and quickened her pace searching for her sister.
After minutes of running and searching she finally spotted her older sister talking with a figure that is common enough for Utau to know. Knowing full well of his nature, there was nothing more indulging to Utau at that age other than to annoy the life out of Akito Ootori and she achieved just that when she slowly sneaked up behind the two and shocked the living light of the young male who was only in his teen years then. Obviously being the uptight one in their siblings, Akito glared at the young girl who was laughing to the point that tears were coming out of her eyes.
Before he could say anything to her however, his betrothed stopped him from doing so as she smiled and said, "She's just a young child wanting to have fun Akito-kun. Loose up a bit." It is common knowledge that Akito would never listen to anyone that he does not hold much regard for but his betrothed was one of the few that he indeed listens to. How can he not?
With the air of both grace and authority surrounding her 24/7, Sakazaki Yui is one of those people that can talk her way into almost every single situation. The eldest of the Sakazaki sisters have grace, poise, intelligence and elegance even at a young age of 14 and that is saying something about her. Still even if her sister is that type of an influential individual, to Utau however, Yui was nothing more than her older sister that she adored and love to bits and pieces.
"Now what did we talked about you sneaking up on others Utau?" Yui asked as she pinched her younger sister's cheeks.
"It's wrong and not polite but it is perfectly fine if it's Akito?" sneakily she giggled in which the second son of the Ootori family glared at.
"What am I supposed to do with you my little sneaky raven?" Yui chuckled as she ruffled her sister's hair into a blob of a mess in which Utau frown upon. "Sorry if it is a hassle for you to keep up with this cheeky little raven Kyoya-kun." She said to the bespectacled boy that was standing just a foot away from the sisters, staring towards the rose bushes.
"It is not a big of a deal Yui-san." He said politely. As always.
"Kyo-chan you are being way too formal here. Gosh, loose up a bit." Yui clucked her tongue in mock disapproval when she realized that her younger sister picking up the same thing that she just said just now.
"Honestly, what am I going to have to do with you Utau. You are going to trouble Kyoya-kun with your attitude honestly."
But before her sister could make another move to pinch her, Utau fled to Kyoya's side, hiding behind his figure looking as cheeky as ever.
"I'm not troubling Kyo-chan at all is that not right Kyo-chan?" Kyoya chuckled before he nodded in which led to Utau giving a look of triumph to her sister as if trying to prove her point.
"You spoil her too much Kyoya-kun."
"And that is why I love Kyo-chan more than anyone in the world!" Utau giggled before she pecked Kyoya on his right cheek which made all three individuals who were standing there froze in their place looking very surprised over what had happened.
But the most surprised one of all is none other than the one that actually received the spontaneous kiss on the cheek from the young Sakazaki Utau. It was obvious as red began to tint his complexion and that alone was enough to make Utau burst into another set of giggles.
"You cheeky little raven, come here!" that itself serves as a cue for Utau to sprint for her life as Yui began to chase her sister through the rose garden. Akito Ootori though he did not say much, a small smile was evident on his face. Kyoya Ootori on the other hand was indeed still a bit surprised over the fact that the young girl was old enough to make such move in front of her sister and his brother no less. What they say that those who are young are scary is indeed true simply because at that age, there was not much that could scare young Utau Sakazaki.
At that age, she was much like the sunshine, bright and full of warmth and brought smiles to others. Though she can be a bit mischievous at times, she was indeed full of life. One could truly see that just by having a glimpse of the young girl. The young girl which also happens to be Kyoya Ootori's first love.
Back then it was as if there was nothing in the world that could possibly destroy the innocence nor could dilute the ray of light that Utau brought into the room in which she enters.
Little did anyone could foresee what the future holds as that young girl who was so full of life lost so many things in her life within a matter of hours.
