Preston was taking me on a tour of the city today, along with all the kids and Ramona. Today was going to be fun, it had been a while since I just had fun. I had just spent all my time working and fighting with Jaxon. Now I was going to enjoy my time away from all that.

“So where do you want to go first?” Preston asked as we got all the kids ready. Three adults and seven kids ranging from the ages ten to three, was going to make for an interesting day. I still laughed about the vehicle Preston has to use when he is taking all the kids. It was a big van that they use to transfer inmates at the police department. He said it was the only they could find big enough, especially since Robert has been hinting he wanted more kids.

“Um I don’t know, what would be the most fun thing to do first.”

“I would say take you to the Statue of Liberty but the wait for that is long and Robert wanted us to meet him for lunch. The same goes for the Empire State Building, but if you want we can go to the Central Park Zoo and it’s not that far from Robert’s office.”

“Yes can we really go to the zoo?” the kids said, “Uncle Aden say yes to the zoo. We can go see the monkeys!” the kids continued to ask, Ramona and Preston chuckled as the kids started to give their sad puppy dog eyes with their pouty lips.

I laughed and shook my head, “Ok we can go to the  zoo.” The kids cheered as they got in the van, I helped the younger ones into to their seat and put on their seatbelt. Once everyone was strapped in, I got in the front with Preston.

“Ok roll call,” Preston said as he put on his seatbelt. “Sebastian, Benjamin, and Sidney.” They yelled here from the very back. “Ok now Louis, Kara, Chloe and Jaden.” They yelled here as well, “And lastly Ramona and Aden.”

“Here,” we said together before I laughed.

“Don’t laugh, I have to do that with Robert. I can’t tell you how many times I have lost him and one of the kids because he is buying them something they couldn’t have.” I only laughed hard. “I told you he is like one of the kids.” He started the van and slowly pulled out onto the street.

We chatted about the animals we were going to see first, and of course monkeys were on the top of the list. The boys wanted to go to the reptiles  and the girls said no, which only led to them arguing about what was more important seeing the reptiles or feeding the sea lions.

“Daddy tell Bash and Ben that we aren’t going to see the reptiles. They are gross and that we are going to feed the sea lions.” Sidney said.

“They are not gross, they are cool Sid!” Sebastian said. They continued to bicker as Preston drove into the parking garage. Preston found a spot and parked the van.

“Ok stop, we are going to see everything we can and if you girls don’t want to see the reptiles you don’t have too. Ramona will just take all of you to the gift shop.” Preston said as we all started to get out of the van. “Ok you all know the drill,” the older kids broke up into pairs while Jaden held onto Ramona’s hand. “Stay together and don’t stray away from the group.”

Ramona lead the group while the kids followed her and we followed behind them. “So this how a daily trip with the kids huh?” I asked as we walked to the gates of the Central Park Zoo.

“Um just about, but with Robert it’s a bit more hectic.” I chuckled, “So Aden since this is your first time here, where do you want to go first?”
