I leaned my back against my locker. I can't help but stare at the couple infront of me.
I watched as she stared up at him lovingly while he grinned staring down at her, snaking his arm around her waist.
It should be me though.
I sighed and made my way through the endless hallway to my next class: history. I entered the class, taking my seat at the corner of the class, excluded from everyone.
No.I'm not that nerd who's hopelessly in love with the jock's girlfriend like in those cliché stories. If you ask me, I wouldn't consider myself a nerd though.
The problem with me right now is simple: I don't talk when I don't need to. It's nothing weird. It's just, I grew up that way. And it's better off pretending like you don't have a say in it when you actually did.
After what felt like a decade, the bell finally rung indicating school's over. I exited the class when suddenly, my collar was grabbed harshly and I was pinned to the wall.
"Hey weirdo. I'm givin' you last warning." I looked down at my black converse, avoiding any sort of eye contact. "Stop." A blow on my jaw. "Staring." Right cheek. "At." Left cheek. "My." Nose. "Gi-" "Drop it ,Colt."
Suddenly, a voice I came to love rung through my ears. "But." " Drop . It." And with that, the grip on my collar loosened.
I gave her a grateful smile amd she returned it. " This is not over yet, Lucas." Colton threatened, venom dripping in each word.
I fell on my butt. Damn, that hurts. I grabbed my things and walked back home.
