Can You Fall In Love?

It was about maybe 2 in the afternoon and me and clay were getting ready for the BBQ, I had a bad feeling in my stomach that we should stay and have a lazy day. But I knew how much clay hated him by the stories I told him and wants to show him a "lesson".
But my reason is I don't want to see gerald with the girl, kissing each other and the crap they do.

I don't know why I just said that. I thought I was done with him? Or do I still have feelings for Gerald?
"Monica are you ready?"
"Yeah I'm coming down in 5!"

I gather all my makeup and out I way and headed downstairs to meet my hubby.
"Looking good as always." Clay says.
"Right back at cha."
He grabbed my hand and we headed out the door.
After a long car ride we had finally had gotten to the place. I can see everybody in the backyard I see people by the grill, I was scared last time I been there when I didn't have my memory, and now I do what would they think about me. What would they think about Gerald?

Clay open the door for me, I thanked him as we walked hand in hand to the front door. We waited awhile until the door opened.
It was Gerald mom and she greeted me with a big hug.
"This must be Clay!" She said.
"Clay this is Gerald mom." I said as they both greeted each other. As we walked in I saw some familiar faces but I wasn't to sure who they were or what there names were. But they greeted me like I was part of the family.
They all looked at clay like confusion. But clay ignored them and continues to hold my hand for comfort.
Everyone was heading to the backyard for dinner. As we walked out there I saw him. Him the one who I thought was going to be there for me for the good times and bad. Then I saw her Gerald left me for her. But then I look back at clay as he looks down at me, and I think I have it good clay has been through my hard time and I want to spend my good times with him as well. I squeeze his hand and smile at him as he smile back at me.

The one spot left was across Gerald and Devon, so me and clay sat there and did give eye contact to them as we enjoy our time with his family and enjoying the food. After awhile I decided that it was time to go after I help Gerald mom with the dishes as clay went to go warm up the car.
"Let me help you." I said.
"No, no I got it."
"Well let me help you with it a little bit of it."

Clay POV)
I walk out to go warm up the car before we leave as I got out I can hear someone behind me. So I turn around and see someone I didn't want to see.
Gerald.
"What do you want?" I asked
"Look dude I don't want to cause any trouble but I have a question."
"Which is?"
"I asked Monica the same thing but I didn't get a answer, so anyway how much did Monica pay you to be her boyfriend?"
"You really think its fake?"
He nodded
"First of all its not fake. Second of all she paid me with her love. And third of all you just jealous of our relationship."

Monica pov)
"Well I really enjoyed today, thank you for having me." I told Gerald's mom.
"Oh no problem I'm glad you came over."
We both hug each other as we both headed out the door seeing clay and Gerald fighting. We both ran to them me pulling clay away and Gerald's mom pulling his son away.

"Clay what happened?" I asked him as he was still looking Gerald. If his looks could kill Gerald would be dead.
"Clay!?" I said a bit more louder as I see him turn his head to look at me.
"What happened?"
"I'll tell you on the way home."
Clay got in the truck while I apologize to Gerald mom and said our goodbyes not even looking a Gerald who was sitting on he couch while his girl tries to comfort him.
I get in the truck and clay starts driving. None of us talking just the radio. As soon we got home clay went upstairs as I stayed downstairs, not sure if he's going going to tell me what happen to him and Gerald, not even sure if he's mad at me. So I stayed downstairs and watched TV And after a few minutes I feel asleep on the couch.

Clay POV)
I went upstairs not telling Monica what happen not even sure if I should she has enough drama and doesn't need anymore. I thought to myself maybe if we didn't go to the BBQ maybe non of this would happen. Soon I'll be leaving for football season and I don't wanna leave her here but then I wanna take her with me. I walked up to my closet taking out a Lil small box. I looked at it for awhile thinking about making her mine forever, knowing that we've been dating for a couple of months. Knowing I should wait to ask her. I decided to go downstairs and I see her her asleep. I picked her up and head upstairs and laid her on the bed.
