Lily:
Lily looked at a brick wall between platform 9 and 10 in confusion.
"So, I'm supposed to run through that wall?" She asked, looking at Severus.
"Yes, trust me" He replied while nodding his head. The two of them were in King Cross Station, and they were about to board the Hogwarts express - the only thing was that it was on platform 9 3/4.
"Are you sure" She asked again, as she did not want to embarrass herself in front of the people waiting at the platforms to the side.
"We are 100% sure, Lily, now go through the wall or we are going to be late." Severus's mom said impatiently.
"I'll go first, and you can run right behind me" Severus said, starting to walk closer to the wall. He suddenly broke into a sprit, and to Lily's relief, he went straight through the wall. Lily took in a large breath, closed her eyes and ran through the wall.
James:
It was 10:50 a.m., and James was just getting his luggage onto the train. There was not much due to the fact that he didn't have a pet - he and his parents agreed that he was much to irresponsible to own one. After handing over his luggage, he turned around and smiled into the eyes of his father.
"Well..." His father said "Best you board soon"
The father and son pulled in once more for a large hug, and it was at that point James realised that his role model would not be around as often. James almost felt a tear swell in his eye, but he quickly pushed it down because he did not want to seem like a baby in front of his father and the whole school. As they both pulled away, James saw something that caught his attention - two stunning green eyes, owned by a beautiful girl with red hair. He stared at her a little while, to only realise that she was talking to another boy. The boy was tall, with black, greasy hair. He was pale, and was laughing with her.
"Was he her boyfriend?" James thought. No, he couldn't be, he was far to awkward to be with such a piece of art.
"James?JAMES!" His dad said in his face, shaking his shoulders "Where are you looking? Anyway you should board now"
"Right" He answered "I guess I'll be off."
"Son, I'm very proud of you," His father said with a broad grin "Make the most of it!"
"Goodbye Dad" James sighed, never feeling more nervous in his life
"Goodbye, James"
James stepped on The Hogwarts Express. He had a weird chill inside of him, but he still acted with confidence. He did not look back once.
NOTE: I know this chapter is very short, but the next Chapter is fairly long, and I didn't want this one to be too big. Also, I wanted to separate the two experiences of the platform and the train journey. See you soon!
